Nice unit. A little pricey but worth it if you want the best. Quick Start up. Excellent display. Better than average searching ability. Can't customize the display on navigation. My old $99 Garmin would let you select what you wanted on the navigation screen. My favorite was ETA. This model requires you to change to the trip computer screen to see that. The traffic works MUCH better than I expected. It actually is helpful!

EZ to use,Beautiful clear colors on screen,Touch Screen, n more! This is the best GPS I have ever owned. I now feel that Garmin has one of the best lines of GPS products. I always do ,n on this purchase, did a lot of product research. After buying the GPS. I'm thinking that the time put into the Web n hands on testing of most the GPSs in the market, that I have made the best choice of ME with the Garmin nuvi 3597.

Purchased this unit to replace my failing older model Garmin of several years. Initially felt it was a bit pricey. But, the ease of use, voice command, and clear directions given by voice and 3D picture when approaching off ramps is very easy to follow. I have not used the other features yet, like Bluetooth, but will do soon. In conclusion, it is true that you get what you pay for. Excellent. Thank YOU 1784

I got the Nuvi 3597 after my 765T was stolen. I wish Garmin could track our GPS's. But anyway purchase this one and it took no time to program and setup. Very easy. Got it 2 days before a trip to Washington DC. Very accurate. Lots of good information on the display. The display very easy to read, contrast is great, and touch screen very accurate. Maybe a little to sensative. I highly recommend this product.

As expected with Garmin's flagship GPS unit, the graphics and design are outstanding. It provides a realistic view while announcing upcoming turns in real terms (i.e turn right after Starbucks, turn left at the traffic light, etc). The real talk avoids having to look for the street sign/name to be sure you make the correct turn. The only downside I've experienced is the announcement for turns...if it could announce a little sooner then this would be a perfect device. If you are driving a little faster than the speed limit then you may only have a few seconds to realize the upcoming turn. One other thing that has changed from older Garmin models...when searching for an address you only key in the # and street (not the city). The unit then searches the entire state causing a delay before displaying the results. Overall, the price is expensive for a GPS, but I would highly recommend this unit if you have the extra bucks to spend. After all, you get what you pay for...

Says actual street names to turn onto, instead of just number of feet to turn in. Let's you know of travel delays, and also gives an approximate arrival time.

The Garmin gets me where I need to go without any issues. Gives great directions

This is by far the best GPS I have owned. Although the one I got needed to be updated with recent maps. It disn't take long though. I also bought the geek squad protection. Although it seems expensive, it is well worth it. I use my GPS every day for work and it doesn't take long for the hot sun to damage gps's. My old gps died and I returned it to Best Buy which I had the geek squad protection. They gave me full price for my old unit and pretty much upgraded to the latestimate and greatest for next to nothing. And obviously I bought that protection on the new one.

It's easy to use. I like the way it easily attaches and comes off. The picture is extremely clear therefore easy to read. It's well worth the price I paid.

does what it's supposed to do probably the best unit on the market. Via bluetooth handsfree capabilities are helpful useful and will keep you out of trouble. Being able to speak addresses and places and have the unit find them without having to type information in it's fantastic. the real time traffic alerts are useful helpful and in many cases in the metro area a necessity.

Best GPS I have owned... Very high resolution screen, fast remapping/ re-routing, very accurate, good traffic updates, excellent lane control... Cross country or cross town it provides all the information I need!

Understand one thing to start, I am comparing this to my old Nuvi T765. I do not consider this one as good at doing the standard tasks, i.e. routing & vocal instructions. When proceeding thru intersections, their were times when I received no instructions, this meant I needed to know what route I was looking for. The first time it happened,I chose the wrong exit which is not what you want to happen in one of Dallas' spaghetti junctions. The lack of the familiar, "recalculating", or any type notification that I was going the wrong way didn't help. Then while in heavy traffic in Nashville TN it unexpectedly shut itself down, talk about panic. The last major problem for me was setting up my routes using Basecamp. After transferring the routes to the device, I discovered that it handle them differently and it would have been better to break my trip into days. Overall I wasn't please with the performance of the device considering that Garmin has been at this for a long time and their product testing should not be this bad in a mature market. If they had any competent competition they would be in real trouble. Below they ask for an up or down recommendation, without fixing the issues I mentioned I would have to say NO.

This is my third Garmin and I wouldn't switch. The features are great and so easy to use. I never worry about being lost or sent on a "venture".

Love this gps. Voice command is great. Magnet cup makes it easy. The crisp display is awesome too,,.

I have had three Garmin GPS products each a bit better than the other and this is by far the best.

i love the voice control, although it does not always find local places. For addresses it is really good to be able to speak the address.

This is the best GPS I have owned! I like that it tells you to turn at the next light or stop sign.

This product has been one of the best that I have ever bought and I have had a lot of GPS. It's very automated and super easy to use.
