Just got back from a 9 days road trip from NYC to Prince Edward Island with stops in Maine and New Brunswick, Canada. Love this Garmin, very happy we got it before the trip, easy to read, clear instructions, provided the necessary restaurants and attractions in all our stops.

My old Garmin, which was about 10 years old, needed replacement. Features, price and size sold me on this one. Easy to use and Lifetime Map and Traffic updates are best.

Used it to guide us in Hawaii and it is pretty accurate. I also love their app. Preparing 'where to go' before hand and sending it to your gps is very helpful. Making our vacation much much smoother. I have a garmin before and it was great that's why i bought another garmin.

Good screen. Adjustable volume and brightness. Gives options to change route and avoid certain roads. Requires charging. Option to connect bluetooth. Does the job.

I have had other Garmin GPS units, and this one could be more user friendly, or I need to read the manual for the third or fourth time to see what I am doing wrong. It asks for the street address and then searches for that address in the state your in and surrounding states. Past units let you enter the state, city, and then street address. This method is much quicker. The older units also saved the addresses you traveled to and with this unit, you enter the address each time you want to use it.

I picked this unit up because the built in GPS in my car was horrible. It gave bad directions, was hard to see and, on many occasions, told me to get off of a road a few seconds before I got to the exit! This new unit is amazing. It gives great directions, easy to use functionality and with the large screen, is very easy to view quickly when you are driving. One of the best features for me is that, when you are coming up on a highway exit that has multiple ramps or two exits that are immediatly next to one another, it shows a "sidebar" map telling you which one to take. Overall, I am VERY happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone.

After working so hard for your money, it's good to spend it on something beneficial, this is one of the few things i can look back and say, I'm enjoying my money. Works beyond my imagination and lots of features

This unit was purchased to replace an older Garmin unit that needed an update. This model is easy to setup and use. Only complaint is the voice recognition feature occasionally suggests an address other than verbally spoken. If manually entered there are no complaints.

Bought this for my parents (60-70 yrs old). They were both able to figure out how to use the GPS without any problems. We do wish it had more info on the screen like our Tom Tom does. You have to press buttons to access the additional info on the Garmin. But, for basic directions it easy very easy to use.

Bought this as a replacement for same model which died after about a year. This is for my mother, who is not at all tech savvy. She loves it, uses it for any new destinations or long trips. Down 1 star since last unit died but keeping 4 stars since she loves it enough that I had to replace with same.

I recently purchased this one after using an older version of Garmin for about 3 years. At the beginning; I didn't find it much different than older one but over the period got a great liking to this Garmin product. Believe me; I haven't missed the routes, not even a single time so far. It's Lane Assist features are simply superb. Bluetooth could have been a little better; the sound from the Garmin device (when the bluetooth is on and connected to a Phone) is not that audible. But that is secondary as I purchased it primarily for the navigation. Overall, a great one!!

I bought this GPS because a family member has the same model. Works as it should and a added bonus is that I can link it to my phone via Bluetooth so that I can call hands free. The only problem I had was updating the GPS. The included cord wouldn't work and I had to borrow one to do the updates.

I bought this for my mother so she could stop getting lost. She always said she would never use a GPS but guess what, she loves it. I havent heard once "I got lost" nor have I received a call asking "how do i get to". Its very user friendly and easy to follow.

This is my 3rd Garmin, and this is the best by far. I upgrade with a new one every few years. It allows for iPhone contacts to be loaded and phone calls made without hands. Directions can be requested via voice. I also like that waypoints can be rearranged after entering.

my review is for the 2597 LMT which, for the price, is an awesome little driver's assistant. I got this for my wife and we took it on a trip to see our daughter in Yosemite. WOW, what a time saver. and accurate. we liked it so much, I got the 2699 for myself.

I really love this GPS, In my job I travel to different parts of Ohio and it really comes in handy. When somebody calls me while I'm driving all I have to do is push one button and I can talk to my contact without using my hands or taking my eyes off the road. I would recommend this GPS to anyone!!

This is the absolute best performing GPS that I have found without the "recalculating" annoyances found on some. If I choose to use another route, it is always accommodating and just makes the necessary changes. Lifetime maps???? You betcha!!! What originally drew me to this model was the sound quality and VOLUME!....Incredible! .....A bright display and ease of operation are two other plusses that I must include. I never dreamed that this quality of GPS would be available at this reasonable price.

Purchased the Garmin Nuvi 2597 LMT just before departing on a vacation trip. It was easy to use and found every address entered. It is refreshing that if you miss a turn it recalculates the route automatically without the annoying "recalculating" announcement.

This device comes handy while exploring places on the road. It was very useful on one of recent trip at Texas. It guides you almost all the way. ... good one

I love the detail direction that it gives, and it even tells me the speed limit and when I go into a school zone. I also love that when it is not giving me directions to a location, and tells you upcoming streets when driving. Love, love, love this product
