Use this GPS traveling for work. Replaced unit damaged by airlines. Very good for North America. I've used all over the 48 states and Canada.

For the money this is a great GPS. Its accuracy is excellent. Very good set of features including traffic. I wish it had audio out. The UI is a little different than previous models, and not so intuitive. Feature choices that should be grouped together are on different menus. Overall a great product and I would recommend to anyone.

Purchased the Garmin prior to going on vacation. Saved us plenty of time and headache by taking to our destinations.

I am new to GPS systems and I had heard good things about Garmin. Well I am glad I got this one, easy set up and easy to use. Touch screen, bluetooth, text to voice, traffic, lifetime updates on maps. Only time will tell if it lives up to all the good reviews.

Garmin GPS 2597 LMT is a great unit at a great value. Many fine features with super definition screen. Easy to use.

This GPS is perfect for nagivation given that it has realtime traffic and has lifetime updates. Really useful if you want to save your phone battery. Navigation is the single most cause of battery drain on smart phones. BTW, you need to drive around for some time (30 minutes?) to get out of the demo mode.

This is my second GPS with the same brand Garmin. Great GPS and easy to use. It helps plan for the better trip with the real time traffic.

It's a good GPS. It's accurate and very helpful with guiding a person into the right lanes and guiding them through traffic. My one complaint is that in a city like LA, it's easy to miss your exit. So I wish the GPS would provide a better way of letting you know that the exit is up ahead. Oh well. Still a great GPS. Lane Guidance and Lifetime Traffic is worth it.

Easy to use, voice recognition feature is good. Great value for the money.

The GPS is good, fully functional. It's system is a little trickier to use then former versions because it searches for the street and if it's not online it will not take you there or let you completely enter the name it can't find. May be still working out kinks and missing the easier/ earlier versions. Plus it was way more expensive then earlier versions like 50% more. If you can use your phone, I would suggest that before the GPS.

Price-wise and feature-wise, this Garmin model is a very good choice. It is accurate, easy to use and looks high end. The touchscreen is responsive and re-routing is fast. My friends have all liked it over their lower end units. The nuvi 2597LMT is similar to the more expensive nuvi 3597LMT, the latter being about a $100 dearer only because of its premium smartphone-like finish. The Voice Command function in all these models is more of a gimmick than a reliable feature. The associated Smartlink phone app may have some good usability but I have not tested that out yet. As with all GPS units, do update the maps before usage. The downloadable Garmin Express PC/Mac software makes map updates easy.

I like being able to talk to the GPS instead of always having to type in addresses. I also like the lifetime maps and traffic updates.

nuvi 2597LMT is an excellent GPS for road trip. A few months ago, I purchased a nuvi 2598 LMT, which proved to be disastrous. It's failed to be turned on twice on the trips, I needed to wait for 10 to 20 minutes after connecting the 2598LMT to car power outlet and it reset by itself occasionally while driving on freeway. I returned the 2598LMT and purchased this 2597LMT; it worked reliably since then. The voice message and on-screen traffic direction are excellent.

Had to replace an older Garmin since it was broken in wreck. Stayed with this brand since it is very user friendly.

Easy to use and set up. Good quality and I like the phone app capability

Perfect size screen, any bigger would block view. Picture quality is terrific and informative, with great direction.
