For the price you really get a great gps the size of the screen is huge and it is very fast with loading and very basic. it also comes with Bluetooth.

Have used it a few times and it works well, though I expected a little more info from the narrator. She'll tell me "In 1/4 mile turn right" but not give me a street name. Do I need that? I don't know, where there are many streets and a lot of traffic it would help and mainly I thought that it did that when I bought it so was surprised that it didn't. It will save me a lot of time mapping out my trips prior to leaving though so I think we are going to like it overall.

Excellent unit, clearer voicing, more vivid display. You got to love that voice command stuff.

I resisted demands to purchase a standalone GPS. With paper maps, a fair understanding of local geography, and a blend of common sense - a person should be able to get around well. Then add the features of a smart phone, these stand alone GPS units are well -- obsolete -- at least that was my flawed reasoning. The features of this unit integrated completely into my driving needs. Bluetooth integration and spot on accuracy are enough to warrant the purchase. Then add the simplicity of use and my driving has become highly efficient and saved money through efficient routing. Its clear screen is easy to read in any light. Great unit and glad I purchased it.

I rely on this device a lot when going on a trip. It is good to have and fairly easy to update.

I must admit this is my second garmin as I do have and used a wrist unit in Afghanistan, but this is my first automotive application. While strong in maps and I find the screen focus on turn approaches very helpful, the telemetry (distance to objective and time to objective) are not what I received from a competitor. I am pleased with the purchase but lacking a manual may never discover the missing functionality. It nevertheless was a value purchase that I recommend.

The voice command feature of this device is a god send and comes in very handy. Recalculations occur very quick and directions are pretty accurate as far as directing you with the quickest route. The extra graphics when showing which lane you need to be in when taking an onramp adds more assurance that helps to drive safely.

We took it to Tenn. and it was great. Loved how it would tell us about backups and reroute us.

Very easy to use. Highly recommend updating maps before putting it in the car.

This Nuvi 2597LMT provides traffic and need to purchase an accesory to make the traffic function. My last Garmin Nuvi 1450 which they no longer sell, allowed me to change the voice features to British English and had ecoroute, however this product only provides American English and I need to download and pay for ecoroute. Overall this is a great product provides alerts when you are approaching Schools (great feature), allows you to change vehicle styles (love that) allows you to have mini routes before final destination. Great Screen and Love the Bluetooth feature for the cell phone and with great noise reduction for this reason I give it 4.5 Stars, if they had the option to change voices from British English, Irish English, Australian English, even Midwestern or East Coast English something different to tell you to turn left or turn right, etc. I would give it 5 Stars.

After experiencing some difficulty downloading an update to its system, the unit performed flawlessly until encountering an interesting problem. Apparently tribal lands do not supply the necessary information to be included in the GPS system. I am working as a delivery driver in some unfamiliar territory, and twice now have had zero luck when trying to use my Garmin to locate addresses. Other than this it's a great tool to have. (along with an accurate map book)

Easy to use! Love the attention to detail as sites appear e.g. Restaurants and gas stations.

This garmin works well. the traffic updates work only when used with the wire in the vehicle

Great for someone that has never used a GPS before and I really like all of the features on this particular one.

Screen actually shows you the exits so you really know where you're headed. I haven't used the real time traffic yet, but I sure like this one better than my old Garmin. I think I'm going to be very happy with this one.
