The Garmin 2597 is a very good GPS, it tells you exactly where you are going very easy to use. I also like the free maps updates, and traffic updates, also like the bluetooth feature I use it all the time.

Being sent to another state to work and trying to learn how to get around town posed a difficulty to me. The next day I spent two hours looking for work. After that fiasco I decided to find the closest Best Buy and get a Garmin to help me around town. The Garmin turned out to be perfect. It fit into my pocket and has traffic information. This device helped me to find ways around traffic, find gas stations and all-around help. The Garmin got me to the hotel every night and to work the next morning. An awesome feature that the Garmin has is voice command. Not having to type in locations or changing my route while driving helped.

Has saved me many hours because of the traffic updates.

I have not used it much yet. I love having it even for those detours I don't know how to get around. I love having the speed limit shown since it is often a long distance between speed limit signs. It is great when it tells me what lane I should be in. My only problems so far are that I have not had time to go online and see how to actually use the device. The only other thing (which may be in that online info) is not seeing the entire route at the beginning and having options of different routes. One route I took may have seemed good to the Nuvi but it took me much longer on a road with heavy slow traffic with stop signs or lights every block than the route I took back. I saved at least 20 minutes. But I do love it and need to learn to use it better.

First GPS we've owned; easy to set up and use. Immediately used it for a trip to Denver, CO. Very accurate. Great features. Very pleased with our purchase and on-line price was matched in store. Did not come with hard case but purchased one for a few dollars. Highly recommend.

Perfect size, and a great upgrade an unit. I prefer only using Smartphone as a backup.
