Great to get the traffic warnings during rush hour

The NIUVI 2597LMT is a great GPS with enough features that for basic needs is wonderful. The first time we used it was on a trip through 7 states in 8 days and it truly got us where we were going without too much effort on our part. This s a great GPS for someone that just travels infrequently but still want all of the benefits of the more expensive models and do not want to use Data Time on their phones.

i like it, it has Bluetooth for my phone. Very friendly and i like very much made navigation much greater.

This GPS has great upgrades on older GPS's. It is easier to use and has more helpful information, such as traffic flow.

The visuals are an improvement over older models but the audio could be louder. Not everyone is blessed with a totally quiet car. Although you would think that the touch screen would be good for everything, my personal opinion is that they should have left the volume control as a tactile dial so you could make adjustments by feel and not take your eyes off the road.

This GPS unit is excellent and does pretty much everything you'd expect it to. Unfortunately it can occasionally come up with some pretty weird routes rather than the most direct, so the route often needs to be checked at the start of the trip if you're unsure. Having to cross check with google maps is an annoying double-up. It can also struggle to find a simple address within a town, instead searching across 5 or 6 states. But otherwise it's a good unit.

Got me to my destination with no problem, and kept me informed wit the traffic ahead.

Overall very pleased with the purchase. I especially like the lane assist which helps direct you to the best lane to be in. Great for driving in Nashville. The traffic feature works well also. The bluetooth paired easily with my iPhone 5s. The lifetime maps will save you $$$$

No GPS is perfect but this one is pretty darn good, especially for the money. Lifetime upgrades and traffic are included. The voice recognition works great. Some features and controls are buried deep in sub menus. Anything other than very basic use and you might get a little annoyed navigating this unit. The thing I hated though was setting an intermediate stop (like a restaurant, lets say) but then you want to cancel or choose another one. The only way I found to do that is to stop ALL navigation forcing you to reenter your original destination. Otherwise, this unit is very good and has LOTS of features. You just have to hunt for them. The help menu will save you time, I should have referred to it sooner.

Caught this unit on sale during the Thanksgiving sales and it has preformed great.

This GPS is better than the one I have in my company vehicle. This one is accurate and goes into detail (i.e. "at stop sign, turn right." The suction cup window mount is still lousy - Garmin can't get that right. The beanbag mount for the dashboard (also purchased from Best Buy) exceeds expectations. I recommend both!

I bought this to replace my Tom Tom and this Garmin has more features and all though it's a bit harder to to learn all of them, once you get the hang of it this Garmin out performs all of the rest. For someone looking for reliability and accuracy this is the GPS for you.
