Garmin continues to improve its products while being challenged by the "I-Pads" and other phone based hand held computers for directions. I appreciate that the "voice saying - recalculating" feature is no longer speaking. I noticed that regardless of if you ask for a non-toll road or not, you will need some local awareness to avoid, toll roads in the DFW area. Otherwise a great product.

Drove home from South Carolina to upstate New York on mostly secondary roads without a single snag. On the front end of the trip heading south used a Tom Tom and ended up on dirt roads and dead ends and on roads not even listed. That was after doing paid updates. Out of frustration bought the Garmin. Will never buy or deal with Tom Tom again.

Great GPS that is easy to use. A number of programming options.

My wife travels every week and needed a reliable unit. I saw this GPS on a television shopping channel and read the reviews. She saw it and forty-five minutes later, we were at Best Buy. My wife complains about almost everything but she has no complaints about her Garmin.

Much improved on my original Garmin Nuvi model. No complaints.

After 2 TOM TOMS died program wise on me I bought a Garmin and wow I should have sooner. I will NEVER buy another TOM and will RECOMMEND the Garmin. The voice command rocks the live traffic updates rock and their POI database is top shelf

Bought for my son for his birthday. He seem to really like it. Very easy to use.

We had a Garmin before and it wore out from lots of use. They are now easier to operate...seems to just go to the correct state. One doesn't have to go through so many steps as we used to. They now come in different sizes so the viewing window is larger, making it much easier to read. The pronunciations the speaker uses are really funny for different locations. Missouri sounds like Misery! I would think the person reading the locations would have the pronunciations of at least states correct.. Overall it is a great product! No more paper maps to spread all over the front seat and then try to refold!

When the airline broke my nüvi 2455, I only cried for a little while. I took the opportunity to Upgrade to a larger 5" screen and newer software. They've added school zone speed warning, improved the look of the screens and exit graphics. A fine upgrade. And 8GB instead of 2.

Haven't had any problems and the unit works just as expected.

Great for getting from anywhere to anywhere! including Hotels!
