I have had this GPS for a month now and have used it daily. The voice command feature is spot on and typing just the road name it will locate the closet road by that name. Bluetooth for the phone is a plus also. Visuals are also great.

I would recommend this to any one! It works great is plenty loud enough easy to operate by touch or voice command but you must use voice command in a totally quiet environment with virtually no noise or it will pull up the wrong thing. it has great color and 3D mapping has school alert as well. the unit will tell you if there is a delay in traffic and give you the best route however it will not tell you of construction sites or missing bridges with detours. unit dose not come with carry case.

Had no trouble with this Garmin, It is a replacement for my old one. Only thing I had trouble getting used to is there doesn't seem to be a favorites for address that you frequent, but did notice that when I did put in an address, the one that was in previously (same Address) pops right up with the go button. So maybe that's a short cut, but I prefer the old favorites button because you might not always have the address with you if you want to stop somewhere you were before and don't remember the address. All in all, worked great. Also has a place for the micro SD expansion card. It also shows places to eat along your route with a little fork and knife icon and $ with a G for gas. Nice to have.

This is my first GPS and it works great! It is very easy to use and setup. Went on a big trip to Oregon and back and it really made things easier. Almost bought a bigger screen but this is perfect!

I had an emergency with my car's gps and i was forced to buy one, i checked this one out in bestbuy website and i went physicly to the store to check it out. For the price this is a very nice unit, bluetooth, phone conectivity are awesome. I was able to use all the features including real time trific using my data plan from my phone and it is awesome. voice commands in this unit have gotten better than with previos versions. Also in very attractive to have lifetime maps, this is the other reason i bought this unit since map updates can be little expensive. I recomend this product very, nice unit you would be very happy with it if you are in need to buy a new GPS.

This is my second Garmin. My first one just got old. This is very easy to navigate through the screen. I especially like the fact that it now knows when streets are closed. That was a problem with the older Garmin. Also, just because you deviate your route, it does NOT keep telling you that it is recalculating. It will tell you where you should turn if you have deviated, but it is not continually reminding you to get back on "its" pre-determined route.

Fairly large color screen, blue-tooth and voice activation, touchscreen, keeps driver informed, split screen when exiting. It's a great GPS.

I bought this GPS about 1 month ago. I'm pleased with the ease of use, the verbal command feature and the size of the unit. I am disappointed in the lack of Traffic data. Just recently I have been getting error messages saying that I don't have the correct cord to get Traffic information. It seems to me that Garmin would include a Traffic cord, with a GPS that is Traffic compatible and if the regular cord doesn't get that information. That said, I understand from friends that the Traffic data isn't as accurate as some that you can get on your phone via apps. So, I have disabled the traffic feature, hoping that will discontinue the Traffic error messages. Traffic issues aside, this GPS has so many nice features that I give it 4 stars!

We like this unit for many reasons but the lane assist, lighting and other options make it easy to use because of voice command. This makes it easy to operate while driving without having to pick it up like my old unit.

    Almost nailed it

garmin almost nailed it with this device. Definitive positives and definite negatives. The voice commands are excellent, I very rarely have to touch the unit when I'm using it. The voice recognition is usually correct in the first try and the maps are generally accurate and up to date. That being said, I've on a couple of occasions come to an intersection that garmin instructs me to turn at in which all turns are restricted or there is construction that the traffic option didn't bother to mention. Also, it can be a little disconcerting having the voice to tell you to turn one direction but have the screen tell you the opposite. All told, this is an excellent device, but not without its flaws -- but name me one device that is flawless!

We had a prior Garmin Nuvi which we thought was pretty good, but had some issues, so we upgraded to this one. The display is much clearer and the vocal instructions are more accurate as to when to make a turn. there are still some problems with the architecture using local road names instead of actual route numbers, but usually the route number is displayed. and sometimes the route Garmin selects through a locality is not the most easy, eg it will route you though a series of turns instead of just going on to a point where on turn onto the next street will get you to where you want to be. Overall, though, it is an improved product.

    Garmin As You Would Expect

Having owned Magellen and Garmin products, as well as, been with friends who own Tom Tom I always select Garmin. Works great as I have come to expect and am quite comfortable with the format I need to use to get to my destinations. My older unit gave me a choice of several dashboards and I was comfortable with having numerous pieces of data on display and available to me all the time.. This unit limits my choices for data displayed and has only one dashboard. My personal feeling is as technology advances we should always expect to get more. My only negative about this unit.

I use this GPS when traveling on busy freeways in the middle of a large city. I love how it shows me which lane to move into before exiting or changing freeways. Easy to use too.

This is my first GPS purchase so I'm not real sure how this compares with others. However, this unit works very well and does a good job with complicated highway interchanges.

Was in need of a new GPS, as the one I have (also a Garmin) had become very outdated. I saw this one, and really liked the new features. The voice command is my favorite! It got me and my husband to Disney World safely and helped us find food, gas and lodging along the way. Also, touch screen is more responsive than previous versions so you're not pounding the screen to enter an address. It was listed in-store as on sale, but because we saw it advertised elsewhere at a lower price, the sales associate was able to honor that. That sealed the deal for me. Another great little product from Garmin, at an amazingly low price!

    Great Big Maps

This is significantly larger than my last couple of GPSs. I really like having the larger maps...there is a large amount of extra data that can display at the same time on the edges of the map (which can be customized or even hidden) and I think this is the best feature. Many gas stations and banks are shown on the map as landmarks (and assorted other items). Once you program in your favorite waypoints, they show up as icons even if you don't currently have it listed as a destination (I personally like to use it as a backup to my own navigation skills rather than turn by turn and appreciate the visual reference still being there)

that when my last one broke, I got the SAME EXACT MAKE and MODEL!!! It's that good! I use it on each and every one of my trips and I never had any trouble. The BEST thing is it comes with Traffic and Maps for North America for LIFE!!! The only flip side is that I had to update the full maps when I bought it the first time. It took a while but GARMIN even allowed me to port my favorites from my old device to the new one and it wasn't that hard. I admit there are lots of other cool GPS's there, but this one is good for "normal" users like me. It is a good buy and if my current one breaks, I will buy this EXACT SAME one again!
