Was looking for this Model. I wanted Voice Recognition. THe Voice Recognition works better than expected.

Often this item goes into voice command wo being asked. I've also experience it go black and not come back on for nearly a whole day when it was on the charger already. Since I use it for work a couple of time per week, I expect it to work when I need It to. It failed me twice. It is what it is. When it does work, it works fine.

Due to availability I switched to a Garmin after years of using a TomTom. Have never tried a Garmin, but glad I did. I have found it to be much more user friendly and the display is much better than my previous model which was only a year old.

The Garmin works fine but sometimes can't find addresses I know are correct. A bit frustrating but perhaps this is operator error.

I'm glad with this purchase, especially having voice command. Don't have to take my hands off the wheel. It sure makes the trips easier with lane assistance, the screen splits in two showing and telling what exit to take. And can make own list of favorite spots you frequent the most.

Good and reliable. Can also change the car icon to something else.

I replaced my old Garmin with this one and I am so happy with it. They junction layout is awesome. Love it!

I bought this product for my daughter in college, this way she does not have to use her phone for GPS.

I highly recommend this Garmin GPS for anyone that is looking for there first GPS or looking to up grade.

Good GPS with large/easy to use screen; provides good search results for addresses after entering the names of businesses Voice command does not recognize street names very accurately; could give turn directions a little earlier

Good GPS - Much Quicker than my old original GPS. Does not save previous destinations. At leased, cant figure that one out.

i bought the Garmin because it cam with free on line maps but did not come with directions on how use it ?

The size is right, price was reasonable and it has every feature that I wanted. Voice command works pretty well, but cannot understand all words or phases. Most times it understands names but something like Lengthwise it just does not get.

It also gives information about traffic problems but says we have the wrong power source, the instruction book is not helpful

Works great, connects to satellite quick, tells school zones , road work and more...can't complain!!!

So easy to use I have not looked at on-line manual. The routing engine is much improved over my 8 yr. old unit. The POI is vast and even had our favorite hot dog eatery that is mostly unheard of outside our area. It has most of the features Garmin's top of the line unit that sells for $349. Who really needs the 3D view? It's more of a gimmick than a needed navigational tool. The 2597LMT, in my opinion is all you need. The only complaint is the mounting. You have to align the round mount to the recess in the back of the unit. Also power plugs into the unit, not the mount so you are having to deal with the cord and try to mate the circle to the hole. I would recommend the dash mount (beanbag).

I have used it in CA, Las Vegas, and various other cities and it got me where I wanted to go every time.

This is the second one I have bought to keep in both vehicles.
