Nice, slim activity monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my wife to monitor her normal resting heart rate, not to monitor an exercise program. She selected it for its slim design and (relatively) low profile. The clip-on charger takes a bit of getting used to. The iPhone app has all the functionality she needs. My only complaint about the app is that it is difficult to pick out particular heart rates on the graphic display. Exportable tabular data might be a nice feature.

Excellent Health Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best tracker for OVERALL health. I've tried numerous fitness trackers/smartwatches and the vivosmart does the best job of consistent heart rate, sleep tracking and translating that data into useful information. However, if you are buying for sports tracking recommend upgrading to the garmin vivoactive or the more expensive garmin gps watches.

Simple and functional
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use. Easy to wear. Love how small it is and I hardly even realize I'm wearing it. HR monitor is great at the gym.

Nice features but with some design flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has nice features to track health and fitness stats and it is fun and interesting to analyze the data on the smartphone app. I didn't notice they come in different sizes depending on the diameter of the wrist, the Best Buy associate didn't notice either and he gave me a small one, it still fits so no big deal, but you may want to check for the size before buying. The screen is very small and navigating with touchscreen is clumsy and awkward, probably not very intuitive when I need to slide, double-tap or touch the 'home' button. With Bluetooth, pulse and Oxygen level features active all the time the battery lasts about 3 days, so I am gradually deactivating features to extend battery charge a little. The really bad thing is the charger connector design, it is downright awful (sorry Garmin Engineers, you really messed up that one!), It is a clip with three little pins that have to align with an opening on the back of the band, if you are clumsy, shortsighted and overall impatient, this will get on your nerves every time! on top of that the loop of the strap keeps sliding down and getting in the way. In general it does a great job in tracking health and fitness data in a small discreet package, but the overall user interface is not that convenient and battery charge is limited.

Good activity tracker
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this watch for work and it does so well. I love having my steps and stairs counted throughout the day. I thought the screen would scratch easily, but so far mine has held up remarkably well in a pretty harsh work environment, so that's cool. Battery life is excellent, too. Thinking of getting one for my father in law for his birthday.

Great birthday gift
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Garmin vivosmart 4 activity tracker + heart monitor watch for my daughter as a birthday gift. She uses it to gauge the amount of exercise she has each day, and can do a little additional workout if she is not at her desired activity level. As it can be worn in the water, she doesn't have to worry about taking it off when she showers or gets in the pool.

Just what she wanted!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a Christmas gift for our daughter. She had a previous version of tracker, but targeted this because of the advanced sleep monitoring. Mind you, she has no problems sleeping, she just wanted something to satisfy her curiosity about her sleep specifics. Thankfully she was okay with us waiting for Black Friday prices, which made it an unbelievable deal! Still too new to critique things like battery length, but she loves the screen navigation/interface! She and her mother (who has a different Garmin tracker) are having activity contests. Gotta love a device that creates family competition! If any bugs come to light, I'll update. Until then, go ahead and buy this, you won't be disappointed (unless your mom beats you activity-wise!)

Novice User
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using the Garmin vivofit handed down to me. Decided to buy this vivosmart 4 when I got the hang of using the Garmin & wanted more features. Love this tracker! The strap is a bit more delicate compared the vivofit but hopefully that won't be a problem. The strap is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. My steps in place or treadmill are counted on the vivosmart4. Heart rate & pulse oximeter are accurate compared to the equipment at work.

Might be a 5 star
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Garmin replaces my vivosmart HR. The HR was giving me a very "WIDE" heart range, to the point I was wondering if had gong bad. The vivosmart 4 seems to show a much more reasonable range. The ox-pulse however has me wondering if it accurate. I have compared it to others and at times, it's dead on, others, it's 8 points different. SO I use it to gauge general improvement or decline. All in all, I think once you do your homework to understand what it is telling (heart rate variability... hard to grasps) you, I think you can adjust your life to do better.

Very versatile and durable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the garmin watches before, but needed an upgrade. The vivosmart syncs easily with myfitnesspal and my scale. It tracks my steps, stress, sleep, and even o2 stats at night. the battery stays charged for a good 6-7 days. Longer if you turn off the o2 stats. When it does need charged, it takes about 2 hours and you're ready to go.

Great Buy--perfect for my needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from a Fitbit to this Garmin because I wanted a fitness tracker that would integrate with my Garmin bike monitor an app. I purchased the Vivosmart 4 because I wanted only basic data--heart rate, sleep monitoring, no GPS (I use my phone and Garmin bike monitor for that), and I wanted it to be smaller than a prison ankle bracelet and a relatively inexpensive price. The Vivosmart 4 fit my needs perfectly--is lightweight, small, cost-effective, integrates with my other equipment on my Garmin app (which I really like), and even adds O2 level monitoring. Needs to be charged once a week.

My mom loves it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a Xmas gift for my mom. She does nothing but rant and rave about it. It functions better than you previous Garmin activity tracker, and she loves the sleek dainty look. It looks really nice on her wrist. Not bulky at all. She was tickled she could read her text message. I was worried when I purchased this, but so far so good this week.

Good! Question step count accuracy at times though
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this tracker. Although placement does make a difference. I've noticed that when I put my wife's on one wrist and mine on another, and my phone with the step counting app in my pocket, there can be quite a difference. But you can actually sync the differences, so I may try that to see how that works. I like that you can integrate it with the different apps on your phone so you can see what is coming across you phone without having to pull it out of you pocket all the time!

Great choice!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I debated for so long on which tracker or smart watch to buy and finally decided on this one. The price was right and I wanted a smaller profile on my wrist during workouts than most of the watches have. There was a bit of a learning curve but customer service walked me through set up and getting started. I am very pleased with the accuracy - there is always some +/- but this one is pretty accurate. There is no GPS, but I don't need it.

Great buy for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because this watch is small, it’s necessary to use the app to view my stats, but it works great! I wear it on my ankle to track treadmill steps. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Problems setting up without smartphhne
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What i was looking for was a wearablle health monitor. This device fits most of my needs. I am a 72 year old male. I did not need the gps function of other devices. The information i like are time and date, number of steps, my current hart rate, my 7 day average resting heart rate, my current body battery, my current stress level, oxygen in my blood. This watch fits my needs. Why i did not give 5 stars, i had problems doing the setup and syncing from my tablet. The online instructions were difficult to follow.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new activity tracker is perfect to capture all my activities and vital signs. The setup is very easy and interfaces with my cellphone. The interface also supports notifications of calendar events which is very helpful. This replaced a Fitbit.
