Like everyone else has mentioned, it is pretty loud! Like really loud. It does really well cooling the room, but you can’t hear your tv lol not a problem though given the heating conditions I rather have a cool room. I like that it hooks up to WiFi. That is a neat feature because you can turn your ac on before you get in the house or schedule it to turn on. I live in an apartment and it does require a quite a bit of electricity. I don’t know if other people have this problem, but it trips our circuit breaker sometimes if too many things are running. But other than that I enjoy it. It is heavy and takes some time to set up. But once it’s set up it’s good to go!

Saw online they have in store so drove to get it. Waited 20 minutes but no associate. So ordered online and had it brought out to my car in 1 hour. This unit is worth the hassle of buying at best buy. It was 80s outside and it's able to cool a room down to 70F. I tried both with drain and no drain hose. Black hose is not included. See how much water came out in just 1.5 days! In fairness it is hot. Everything thats needed to install came in the box. The big plastic air exhaust is flexible enough to get it to face my window. Than 3 pcs of window cover. Also sticker foam to cover the window gaps. The remote works. Easy to use. Dont even need to read the instructions. Definitely recommend

The last 10 days have been unusually hot for June. This device did a wonderful job keeping the whole upstairs to my house comfortable. I work from home and the house AC just doesn’t cool the upstairs that well; however this product does!

Stopped blowing cold air after 3 weeks. Extremely loud if you plan on it being inside. Really not that strong of a unit even regardless if it worked forever. I knew the reviews said they frequently break down after 1 month but i wanted to give GE a chance. Their "Smart" A/C is a genius idea if you want to test out your Best Buy Total Rewards warranty. I think the manufacturers believed if they integrated some janky wifi app and call it a Smart AC that this would justify charging $450 after tax. My recommendation would be as soon as you buy it stick it in the garage and run it on high for a day and youll know pretty quick if you got a lemon.

This ac equipment is like sleeping in a igglue lovely but also holds heat well and a nice chill

If you can stand 78 dB of constant noise then you can buy this AC unit. I returned it and got Toshiba dual hose inverter for only $100 more and that was the right decision. Toshiba unit is only 60 dB on full blast.

We bought this because our central AC system isn't working and needs to be replaced, so this is carrying us over for now. Overall, it works very well and keeps our 250-square-foot bedroom very cool. It is quite loud, but since I have nothing to compare it to, that may be the nature of these devices. My only other issue was that the directions for installing the hose end to the window were not very straightforward, and it took a while to figure them out. Still, overall no regrets.

This will get you out of a summer pinch, functions just as you’d expect. What you wouldn’t expect nor appreciate is how loud it is! Trust me you’ll notice it at night. You’ll have to raise the volume on your tv substantially. Please get it when on a sale price, not original price.

4 stars because the only downside to this AC- it is not quiet whatsoever. It definitely cools a 300 sq. room very quickly. Easy set up as well. At night I tend to use the fan instead of the AC as it is a bit more tolerable than the AC sound. Gets the job done.

Requires ventilation so some effort was taken to set this up. We are not the most mechanically minded people but the screws seemed a bit short. As a result we used our own longer screws we had on hand. Once set up things ran well. So far no issues, no water leaking. Thermostat works great. Only one criticism, it’s a bit loud but we quickly got used to it and all are sleeping cool and comfortably. Use portable air conditioning for a little over a month mostly at night. I have not seen a jump in my electric bill. This was very good news. There’s a little extra effort on set up at the start but I recommend this product.

This air conditions really puts out a lot of cold air. Fit in the window and easy to install

It was a relief having it. Our home AC unit stopped working unexpectedly on a very hot Saturday morning, no AC tech was available to work on it immediately, so we decided to buy this GE portable heater to use in our bedroom. We used it for a few days until our home AC was fixed. It was easy to install following the instructions and parts that are included in the box.

First of all it does work. HVAC at the house I live was not working due to a part failing and I needed something to survive the heat. This allowed me to do just that. Cooled the room down enough so that I could even sleep. But it is loud. I had to wear ear plugs in order to have a shot at sleeping and trying to watch a show with it running was not ideal. So while it does work I'd only recommend it to someone who was in the same situation as me, desperate.

Bought this unit to leave up at my Cabin up north. It works well and cools it down good. It’s a little loud depending on the fan speed but it’s not that bad. Easy to fall asleep with it running
