Bought a condo a few years ago and the unit came with an older washer and dryer. The GE set that I bought from Best Buy has cleaned much better than the ones that came with the unit. In fact the new washer has been able to get out some stains on the clothes that were left after using the old machine. Very pleased with the larger GE washer and dryer. Only problem I experienced was the delivery took over three weeks because the first crew that brought them said they couldn’t use the old fittings and I needed to get a plumber to replace them. My HVAC guy said that there was nothing wrong with the old fittings and they work fine.

2nd one of this model that we have owned. After over 4 years the 1st one was replaced under the Geek Squad warranty. Purchased this model originally because it has a real agitator and fills up with water so the clothes get clean. Usually we go with what my friend Sam Sung recommends and we had one of the water saving / no agitator models by another manufacturer and it rusted out in a little over a year. This has been a good machine and offers lots of washing options - extra soak, extra spin, etc. Would say this is definitely one of the better machines out there, especially for the price.

So far I love this washing machine. My only "negative" is personal and due to me washing delicates. The delicate setting spin cycle is so strong that it will wrinkle my clothes so bad that to get the wrinkles out I have to iron (which I despise doing). But that same spin cycle is WONDERFUL when you are doing towels and jeans! I just wish the spin cycle wasn't set so strong for delicates. So, I would never return it for this but be aware!

This washer has large capacity for putting in clothing, but it tries, even on the highest water level setting, to wash with too little water. Also, because the washer locks when spinning, if the washer load gets unbalanced, it is necessary to stop the washer, and then there is no way to resume the cycle. My old GE washer was much better than this one.
We'd like to share information about the water level and provide tips for resuming the cycle. This model is a high efficiency model, which means it will use less water than traditional washers to provide the same level of cleaning. We recommend checking out page 15 in the user manual, to view more information about the water level. For pausing and resuming the cycle, you will want to press the "Start/Pause" button when the washer is spinning, allow a few moments for the washer to fully stop. To continue the cycle, press "Start/Pause" again. If water remains in the machine, select the "Drain & Spin" cycle to drain basket and spin water out of the washer basket. You can view more information on page 8 in the manual also. To view the manual, you can click on the "Features" tab, then scroll down on the screen that appears on the right side until you see a link under "User Manual."

Washing machine is quite nice. Washes cloths faster than my old machine, and has a very pleasant sound when it starts and finishes . The controls are easy to understand.
We're glad to hear that your washer is performing well! Please keep in mind that you can pause the washer after the water has filled by pressing the Start/Pause button. The washer will drain after being paused for 24 hours. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! -Don@GEAppliances

Have had washer for 5 weeks working very well. This our third GE washer. First two each lasted 19 years, with no issues. Like all the basic features. Have found that the key with GE washers is don't overload, watch detergent and load each wash properly and they will perform as designed. Also check the water filters coming in and clean the washer at least a few times each year.
We truly want to thank you for being a longtime member of the GE Appliances Family! Dry spots

Nice looking machine. But I’ve noticed when I take clothes out of washer some spots are still dry.
We are more than happy to provide guidance with this washer. Since you are experiencing dry spots on your clothing when the wash cycle has completed, we advise adding an additional 3 gallons of water by using the Deep Fill feature. If you are still experiencing dry spots after using this feature, service is advised. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393).

So far we are very happy with our washer! It is easy to use. I prefer the dials as opposed to the "smart" washers. I had a bad exprience with one of those. The water level options make it perfect for any load size we might need.

I have only had the washer for four weeks and only do two loads once a week but so far I love this washer. It is deep, great for my dogs bedding, and the extra spin feature is a great for those heavy loads.

We've tried all the fancy options and honestly they all do the same feature wise and they all clean the same. Which is barely, this washer while louder and has less features than the others, actually cleans your clothes not just swishes your clothes in soap soup and considers it "Done"

When shopping for a new washer I was specifically looking for one with an agitator, as I feel the one I had without one was working too hard to get a good spin. This washer gets the job done and doesn’t make too much noise, and since my bedroom shares a wall with the laundry I appreciate that! I especially like the amount of options for various kinds of loads. I’ve had it for 6 months now and it seems built to last for many years.
