Good Machine, Great Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this washer. We had an expensive Maytag that never seemed to do a very good job cleaning our clothes, and it also took well over an hour for a load. Just as soon as the warranty ran out, it started making a horrible, very loud noise when spinning. When the washer was removed, there was a puddle of some kind of substance. Not good. This washing machine has great features. We can determine the amount of water we want to use, or it will sense the load and put enough water in to clean the clothes. It also has several cycle choices that takes care of all of our needs. It is cleaning our clothes very well. It is a little loud when spinning, but it truly isn’t bad. This was a good choice for us.

I Love Doing Laundry Again!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is such an upgrade from my 10 yr old GE. I wanted to stay with GE brand and approx. 4.5 Cu. Ft. capacity. What I didn't expect was to have so many wash, soak and rinse/spin settings. You no longer have to decide how to wash different types of loads, they are all there on the dial! The Geek Squad went though the features with delivery/installation and I still needed to follow directions step-by-step when doing the first load. I still goofed and my first load soaked for about 2 hrs. because I left the washer on "Pause" while I was checking out the features!

Good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tub is large and the machine does a good job of getting clothes clean. However it is quite noisy and needs to be filled evenly, or the tub will knock around during the spin cycle.

Sounds take getting used to!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a washer with the center post/agitator as I had heard the clothes get creased less. However this washer takes some getting used to! Water never seems to fill high enough...yet the clothes all get wet and are presumably cleaned. Precision water level is nice feature as I'd always be setting level on max trying to get it to fill more. The noises that it makes are disconcerting until you get used to the stop and start sounds. All in all, it seems to wash fine...once you adjust to the changes from a continuous washing sound and a quiet machine which is what my old washer was like. Price on this one makes it easier to put up with these twerks.

Confident clothes are getting cleaned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super spacious, but kinda loud. Instructions for using fabric softener could be more straight-forward. If you use it, you must also make sure two other settings are selected, otherwise you will have blue Downey on your clothes. It also seems that the soak feature only works some of the time, or inconsistently. My last top loader only swished clothes around in a ridiculously little amount of water, so having the ability to select water level is definitely the best part of this machine. Just read the instruction booklet thoroughly and you should be happy.

GE 4.5 cu ft Washer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased it because I had my fifteen old year washer that stopped agitating for the third time. first two times was the tags, This I suspected the transmission. I got good use from my old Amana. I saw it on sale and went for it. Its a little noisy but I can deal with because it's in the garage and it does cleans well.

Good quality. Not for condo/apartment
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a decent washer for around $600. It’s fast and efficient, has multiple settings for different load sizes. Also has a good capacity for washing towels and blankets. Only down side is. It’s not as quiet as you would think for being a new model. Only had one issue, kid loaded a heavy blanket mainly on one side and it tripped the washer I had to unplug it for some reason and start the load over, leveled it out and load finished great. If I had to I would buy again.

Great washing machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So glad to have a washer with an agitator and that actually puts enough water in the tub to wash your clothes. It also only takes about 40 minutes for a normal load. I was originally worried about the size since it’s smaller than my previous washer but it still holds a large load, even a king size comforter. Very happy with this purchase.

GE Clothes Washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! I have purchased this GE Clothes Washer to exchange a new Whirlpool washer that I did not like. I have been using my new GE washer for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with this purchase. The 4.5 Cu. Ft. stainless steel basket is huge and is pretty good for washing a comforter, sheets and towels at the same time. The new machines have some different noises, which are part of their normal operation, but the key is to have the right settings for the types of loads. I am really enjoying my new GE clothes washer!

Nice machine with plenty of options.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a machine that allows ME to select the water level. This one has it. It has been doing an outstanding job of cleaning our clothes and beddings. Has a large capacity to allow less loads and large items such as comforters. We like it.

Do not like lid lock
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this washer a little over a month. Overall it is good but I do not like the lid lock feature . The washing machine got off balance on the spin cycle and it would not let me rearrange my laundry. I pressed the pause button and the lid lock would not turn off. I will never buy another washer with this feature.

Nice and very efficient washing machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer after the one I had started screeching & shaking the entire laundry room while on the spin cycle. This model super nice plus I wanted to get a washer with the agitator in the middle which this model has. It also has a few bells & whistles like being able to push a button & add more water to your load & the option for an extra spin or extra rinse. I’ve only had it since May 1 but I’ve washed plenty of loads; this is a nice washer for its price value & for the options offered while doing laundry.

Best washer I have ever owned!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer has many wash options and a larger tub than my previous one-I can wash my bedspread at home rather than take it to the cleaners. Also jeans and towels do fine. The deep fill option is great and the clothes are getting very clean. (It is a bit noisy, but so is my dishwasher, and worth the "tradeoff")

Household of 7 and it keeps up no problem!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a household of 7, 2 adults and 5 kids, and this bad boy can keep up no problem! We've had a front loader, a Samsung top loader without agitator, and several other brands and types of washers and this one by far is the best one we've ever used. It's very easy to use and can handle large loads. It all will come out clean. I will never use another washer dryer set again!!

It's okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It cleans everything just fine, but the spin cycle is bad. You have to spin at least two times for a regular load. Towels, blankets, and rugs take three or more spin cycles and that is only if you use the Precise Fill selection. If you select the water level everything is left soaking wet. You will have to spin many, many times to get all the water out.

Simple washing machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m tired of the front loading machine that makes clothes stink, tired of the machine with no spindle that keeps getting unbalanced and clothes that have an after smell. After having tried those and keeping them til they broke on me, I went back to plain Jane with this GE with spindle. Cleans my clothes well, and while you CAN hear it washing it doesn’t bother me a bit! Glad to have a machine that I’m not frustrated with.
