We usually love our GE products however, this time we started having issues the first day installed and have had issue after issue with scheduling GE technicians.

Very disappointed in this washing machine. It is extremely loud that our fur babies bark. It shakes while in the spin mode and it’s not unleveled. The soft load dispenser dispensed the softener the first week and no longer does. I’ve had this set about two months. Definitely would rethink purchasing this washer.

The washer will make clicks, and you'll hear water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. The washer was great, but we think we got a defective one. The "soft close" didn't close softly. We tried to get it repaired, but there were no parts available so we had to get a different model.
Your new washer may sound different from your prior unit because of the newer technology. Clicks, water flowing, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. Please take a moment to review the support article on the GE Appliances website titled: "Top Load Washer - Normal Sounds." If you believe the noise is abnormal after reviewing this information, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our qualified technicians to assess your unit. I am so disappointed with this purchase. My grandmother also bought GE brand appliance no matter what and she swore by them. But like many things nowadays, this Washer/Dryer set is not my grandmother’s. I absolutely hate the dryer, does not dryer clothes unless you use it on two hour long cycles. The washer dumps the detergent into the agitator, clothes are never clean. I must’ve got a lemon. I would give these away but I don’t have enemies.
Since the review is on the washer unit. We would like to get more information to help with your dryer unit but would need the model and serial number information.
