They will charge you extra
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid to have Best Buy install the dryer for me. The company that came to install the dryer charged me an additional 240 on top iof the $200 to get it installed. If i knew it was going to be this much issues to plug a gas line into the dryer i would of just drove a few hours to my rental to do the install myself.

Buzzer will wake the dead - 90 minutes to dry
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The is a very expensive cheap dryer. I would not have bought, but I had limited space for the connection. It has a buzzer that will wake the dead and that you cannot turn off without removing the back panel and disconnecting. Super frustrating. So LOUD, so LONNNGGGG. Takes 90 plus minutes to dry a full load of towels.

Posted .Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us. We hate to hear you are unhappy with this model’s end-of-cycle signal and the time it takes to dry towels; we know issues like those may be frustrating. Regarding the issue you’ve had with towels taking a while to dry, you may want to check the lint filter to ensure it’s clean, and the ducting to make sure there are no obstructions. Making sure the circuit breaker or fuse is supplying enough power to the dryer may also help. Detailed troubleshooting tips start on page 9 of the manual; if you’d like to view those, the manual is available on our GE website by looking up the model number. Your feedback on the drying time as well as the signal noise will be sent to our Laundry Products Design team for review and possible future adjustment. Your insights are valued, as we always want to make sure we’re aware of any consumer concerns. Please note that we wouldn’t recommend removing the back panel to disconnect anything, for safety reasons; our Service Department should be contacted at 1-800-432-2737 if you ever need to adjust anything in the back panel. They would not generally be able to disconnect the signal, however. If you have any other inquiries or concerns, we are always glad to help. -Sarah@GEA

Dryer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new GE dryer which I purchased from Best Buy on December 7th. I wasn't planning on buying a dryer at the time but my old 30 something year old dryer died and I was desperate at the time to buy something. The sales associate at Best Buy was very helpful and completing my purchase and I am very pleased with it

Dryer is fine, installation service is terrible.

WORKS GREAT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a condo and had to find a dryer that fit in a small space, depth-wise. I had limited choices. This GE dryer replaced a 20 year old GE dryer that came with my condo. Luckily, my new dryer works perfectly! The loud buzzer that alerts you when the clothes are dry doesn’t bother me, mainly because I was warned about it on this site. For me it was about the size of the dryer and it does dry my clothes quickly and perfectly.

Worst buzzer I've ever heard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dryer works fine and fits in our tight space...but it has the worst, loudest and longest end of cycle signal I've ever heard. You would never be able to put in a load and let it finish while you (or a napping child) were sleeping, which is an absolutely deal-breaker for me as a parent of small children. Evidently you need an upgraded model in order to be able to turn off the signal. I'll figure out a way to do it with the wiring because I can't live like this!
