It is faster than any dryer I have ever owned. It is very quiet as well. I highly recommend this to everyone. It is mid priced, with all the qualties of the higher priced versions.

The dryer has a light on the inside so you can see if you left behind a stray sock, etc. Its super quiet and dries much faster than my old dryer. I got it on sale for about $400. The delivery man set it up in 5 minutes. It was definitely an excellent buy.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is to report that the swiches in the dash panel are held with brittle little plastic clip that tends to break easily. mine are now all busted on the left end side and it's impossible to fix unless you change the entire dash. So your switches fall in the back panel as soon as you remove the buttons...nice! Unit works fine otherwise.

Broken in less than 18 months

I bought this dryer in Dec of 2013 to replace a 5 year old GE (relatively new by my standards), and it couldn't even make it to the 2 year mark (though it's conveniently out of warranty). After less than 18 months, the repair guy who came to fix it said it needs a new timer, which is going to cost more than $300 all-in, so once again I'm back where I was 18 months ago trying to decide whether to fix it or buy a new one. Don't put yourself in this position - avoid this product and all GE dryers.

lint problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The dryer has many features from choices of laundry type and moisture sensor, but the lint filter does not fit properly. It is conveniently located in the front of the dryer for easy removal and cleaning, but the lint can easily go around the filter. Large loads have resulted in lint sticking to the door of the dryer as well.

I would not recommend trying this dryer, and now I'm even a little more skeptical at trying GE at all. Moving into a new home in a week, and I need a new dryer, but I will certainly not be trying a GE this time...Disappointing....
