This has happened three times since we purchased this dryer 2 months ago.

Solid Dryer with a minor tweak

Overall, the capacity is nice. The clothes dry much fast and on a lower heat. I did the install myself. If you’re handy, it’s quite easy. Delivery went as planned and was quick and efficient. One note: the buzzer. It’s loud and jarring. I’ve never heard something so loud as that buzzer. On our old unit, you could switch it off. This one you cannot. That said, I found a YouTube video showing how to disable it permanently. https://youtu.be/DtCT9AVrCO0 Besides the buzzer, it’s a great unit. Durable so far as does the job.

This GE has a smaller footprint and dries much faster than our previous dryer. I have a king comforter that fit fine in this dryer.

Good Dryer with obnoxiously loud buzzer

Thankfully I had the plug on hand from hurricane prep. CON is the buzzer!!! Loud & long, so no late night drying unless you want the crap scared out of you! Used the more/less mode as well as timed and both work great & effectively. Lint trap sticks a bit when trying to pull out. Plugged in & 3 back to back loads w/no issue...another 3 loads the next day and all good. Would recommend, except for that buzzer!!

Ultimately when going through reviews, we felt that this basic one without bells and whistles was best for quality and price point. It has been a great dryer so far! I wish it had a few more settings, but it gets hot and dries our stuff quickly and well. I also like that it can hold my king comforter and tons of clothes. We bought the matching washer and are happy with our purchase.

There is tons of room for clothes. We have already dried a thick comforter, and it was fast! Having the lint filter accessible when opening the door is nice, as our last dryer had the filter on top of the unit, which tended to allow things to fall in.

Easy to use, decent options and setting and dries clothes fast. It’s a little on the noisy side so you may want to spend more if your laundry area doesn’t have a door

I don't think I did a bad job at picking this GE dryer. Size I was looking for and price was not bad either. Works great, comforters come out nice and dry.
