If you take your finger off the start button the dryer stops. The Best Bye repairman put a new button on. It still stops when you remove your finger.

I have the matching GE washer, which I love. I absolutely hate this dryer. Started with my washer dying on me. I figure, go ahead and replace both washer and dryer at the same time as our dryer was getting up there in age. Worse decision on my part. Started with poor installation by Geek Squad. They didn't install the gas line correctly. We ended up having a gas leak after using this dryer for less than a month. Needed someone to come to fix their horrible installation. Will never let Best Buy install anything ever again. Now this dryer. Noticed a month to 2 months in that it would take 2 to 3 cycles to dry clothes. We were past the return window with best buy so I was stuck with this dryer. The clothes I place in this dryer aren't sopping wet so there should be no reason it should take this long to dry clothes. It will take almost 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. I would be up to 1am just waiting for 2 loads to clothes to dry if I started laundry at 9pm. Gone were the days of 45 minute or 1 hour dry cycles. After a year and a half of this, I will definitely be looking into replacing this dryer this Christmas. I can tell you that it will not be a GE or installed by Best Buy
