GE wants to charge me $300 to fix it. I can't believe I have to throw almost a new product away as GE does not support it's product or customers

Mounting holes a problem

However, the mounting holes in the top of the microwave did not line up with the old model and in fact were so far forward on the right hand side that the front hole was virtually outside the front of the cabinet. GE customer service tried to be helpful, but it was easier to just return the unit to Best Buy.

I returned that microwave and got a replacement. The second microwave came and the button to the door was broken. Best Buy's solution was for me to return for a refund. I now have no microwave and have contractors waiting on me to install. Very Very disappointed

After 1 month of using it, now when I close the door with the microwave "off state", not cooking, the inner light stays on and the fan(?) motor keeps running... sounds like the microwave is cooking but I don't think it is. I have to leave the door open all the time to keep it from "running".

very expensive microwave

Brought it home unpacked it and it did not even include the trim kit for that price! Returned it very dissatisfied and inconvenienced

Great Color - Sub Par Performance

Today, January 11th, 2021 it stopped heating food. Loved the color; however, the price point and for how long it lasted are sub par. Also, the unit would over heat and turn off when cooking a bag of frozen vegetables.

Pretty Mediocre for the Price

According to their tech support, this unit was supposed to have the same dimensions as the previous one. Wrong, it is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch different and the mounting holes are a completely different pattern, thus requiring new holes to be drilled. Overall, the unit feels very cheap. Why this is about $100 more expensive (and less wattage) that others is beyond me. Surprisingly the buttons are not backlit. So at night one needs to turn on lights to see what button to push. I wish I didn't need to buy this, but if you don't have custom needs buy something else.
