THIS IS MY SECOND GE PROFILE DISHWASHER AND KNEW I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH ANOTHER ONE. MY FIRST ONE LASTED 11 YEARS. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THE SILVERWARE BASKET IS A LITTLE SMALLER THAN THE OLDER ONE. THE BOTTLE SCRUBBER IS GREAT FOR GLASSES/JARS THAT HAVE HAD OIL OR PROTEIN DRINKS IN THEM. VERY HAPPY WITH ALL MY GE APPLIANCES. MY FIRST GE APPLIANCES WERE A REFRIGERATOR AND WASHER AND DRYER PURCHASED IN 1966. THE COPPERTONE REFRIGERATOR STILL WORKS!!!

This unit is so quiet I have difficulty noticing if it is actually running. This dishwasher was no where in our radar when we began looking but we are so glad we made this purchase!

Problem with 4 of my 6 GE Profile appliances

They are beautiful appliances, but thats about all they are good for...lookin nice! When this dishwasher worked, it cleaned fairly nice however there is no way of knowing how long the cycle is or how much time is left in the cycle. The gasket on the coarse filter at the bottom of this dishwasher melted/disintegrated over time so that the appliance stopped draining. My Profile gas dryer, microwave, trash compactor, and dishwasher all broke down in less than 5 years. Even their repairmen told me I'd be better off buying a new appliance as it wouldn't be worth the costs to repair them!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quiet dishwasher is a plus, but we did record how many times we used the dishwasher and we are at 94 uses in a 6 month period and the dishwasher is already not cleaning. The repairman stated the heating element is bad the strainer in the bottom was damaged (probably from poor installation). To repair these parts it is a little over $350. Very disappointed in this. I called to see what the warranty on this product and was told it is 90 days unless I bought the geek squad protection. This is very sad. last time I purchase anything other than games and movies from bestbuy.

We would cover parts and labor under that warranty.
