    Either this antenna which I bought at Best Buy is defective on Geek Squad installed it incorrectly. I paid almost two hundred dollars for it and paid Geek Squad $199 to instal it & I don't get as good of reception on it as I do on my bedroom TV. which is 8 old old & uses a Walmart antenna. My TV in the Great Room where the antenna was installed is a new Toshiba flat screen, which I also bought at Best Buy

Depending on your location regarding terrain, elevation, etc. and depending on the location of the transmitters for your local stations will determine in large part, the type of antenna required to pull in the stations. Both your general location and the specific area that the antenna is located can affect reception. The distance, terrain and obstacles (buildings, power lines, etc.) between you and the signal tower greatly affect the strength of the signal that reaches you. Where you locate the antenna in the room can also affect the strength of the signal that you receive. In general the higher you locate the antenna the better signal you will get. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and locate the antenna closer to that direction.     I live in Chelmsford and thought I would get 4, 5, 7, 10, and other stations. I only can get 2 and 44.

    This antenna brought in only half the stations my old fashioned, big antenna in my attic brings in. I had hoped not to have to wire from the attic antenna to a second TV location in the house. With the failure of this antenna, I bit the bullet and did the wiring job. Optical cable splitter for two TV's from the one pre-existing attic antenna works just fine.

    After mounting the antenna and connecting to existing DirecTV coax as mentioned in installation instructions and connecting to TV and powering up the amplifier I ran the TV through programming and not a single channel locked in. Reconnected to indoor flat wall mount antenna and ran channel setup and now have several channels back.

    I bought two after the Houston Hurricane trying to get TV reception for the news. I got only 2 channels and they constantly pixelated making it very difficult to watch. No I do NOT recommend these.l

    First of all, it isn't white. It is gray. I wanted white to match the house color in a neighborhood that is picky about such things. Second, I am ~18 miles from the source and have not been able to get a signal from indoor or outdoor mounting. It is currently on the side of the house facing the transmitters. There is a neighbor's house and some topography between me and the transmitters, but not excessive. If I was maybe 200' higher, I would have line of sight. The amplifier that comes with it is weak and not suitable for outdoor installation. Plan on spending more for a decent amplifier and you might have more luck. The package indicates it is good for whole house signal, feeding more than 1 TV. Not true with the included amplifier.
