Q: Does this antenna need a power source to connect? Or just the coaxial connection.

A: It needs a power source. But can be toward the inside TV connection doesn’t need to be outside by the antenna location.

Q: Does this have to be installed horizontal? Can it be installed vertical?

Q: Can I use this antenna indoors as well ?

A: Yes, I’ve got mine in the attic.

Q: Does this antenna receive both frequencies? For some reason NBC is the ONLY major channel that broadcast on UHF (or the other) in our area and I cannot receive via my current antenna.

A: I use this antenna on my camper van but I get 33 plus channels. It is digital HD antenna so it is for digital televisions or converter box if you have an old analog tv. hope that helps. I bought it because it doesn't look like an antenna so I feel my van is more secure.

Q: will this work inside a all metal shop?

A: well I bought it for my camper van and it works best outside on the roof.. if you have a high roof I would say it will pick up good the instructions show attic installations, if you use the antenna tuning on you tv like the old /dishnetwork signal strength meter. in a building they say to ground it. I bought it on sale so I really like it. hope that helps.

Q: Do we have to have a clear line of sight to the transmitting tower? We live about 30 miles from the tower out in the country.

A: A clean line of sight will increase the range.
