Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. While some found the channel selection adequate, others felt the price point was not justified by the performance. The antenna's setup was generally considered straightforward.

The antenna I purchase is a 60 mile antenna that does not reach 30 miles. All local channels freeze and I are in and out of signal. Poor signal quality

Hello Bob747, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE UltraPro Bar HD 400 Amplified Antenna. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing signal issues with our product. Our priority is to offer complete customer satisfaction for all our customers. As the manufacturer, we are very interested in supplying consumers with a quality product that delivers the expected performance. Anytime we hear problems encountered in the use of one of our products, we want to get involved and resolve the difficulties the best we can. The Antenna may be over amplifying the signal, meaning that it’s giving it to much power and it’s missing the towers. Your antenna has a built-in amplifier that you can manually turn On/Off located on the back of the antenna. First, make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allows the antennas dipoles to be fully extended for better reception. Note: The antenna must be connected to the TV and connected to a power source at all time in order for the antenna to function properly. We recommend turning off the In-line amplifier and rescan for channels. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and locate the antenna closer to that direction. If you have any more questions, please give us a call at 1-800-654-8483 option 1 and provide our Support Team with your ticket number 261262. We are eager to work together with you to get the best out of our product and help you with your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.

This works great for some channels but not so great for others. I don't have any improvement in connection when the amplifier is turned on, works the same and the picture is just the same when it is off.

The amplified signal is nice in that it picks up more channels. The signal strength on some channels is still spotty though and it is hard to find a good spot where it will be consistently strong in my house.

Purchased to cover basic tv for spare bedroom to cut the cord, and scaling down on cable boxes. Approximately 30 miles from nearest tv signal tower. Got around 40 channels using it as a soundbar. Moved it & logged on top of tv and received additional 20 channels. Signal on most channels is actually better than what we received through the wall cable (spectrum) as streaming in HD. Will probably get an additional one for another bedroom.

I do like that you can mount it on the wall. However, it doesn't pick up some of our local broadcast companies that are within 40 miles. Our rabbit ears were able to pick up more channels at a much lesser cost.

I got this to allow watching local TV in a hotel. Even though I was in a major metro area (Tampa/St Pete) many channels were unwatchable, especially my wife's Spanish novela channel. That's why I needed it.

I was a little too far north of Chicago to get channels. I knew CBS wouldn't come in, but neither did NBC, ABC or Fox. I was able to return this easily and get a better antenna for where I live.

We were hesitant in cutting the cable at our house but after learning about how antennas were becoming more and more popular, we decided to try one. We cut the cable and haven't looked back. This antenna is a slim bar that is small enough to set right in front of the tv or it can be mounted on the wall behind the tv, which is where we have it and it can't be seen at all.
