You are correct. As described in our listing and our packaging, our antennas will only give you access to over the air free local channels from your local stations. Any paid channels will come from your cable provider. The price for our UltraPro Amplified Antennas is slightly higher than the other Antennas we have. Our Ultra Pro Antennas are equipped with build in amplifier for superior signal reach up to 60 miles and is HD ready. Also, we also offer basic antennas that delivers a 30 mile range signal performance at half the cost.

GREAT ANTENNA

We live in the country and don't want to subscribe to cable or satellite and were using a regular antenna for our main television. We bought a couple of these for our extra televisions and they pick up most of the local basic channels, which is all we needed.

Great for cutting cable cord

I was able to pull in 50 channels. Not all channels are clear or wanted by me. But overall I received all my normal channels except ABC6. I understand it transmits on low band VHF which is hard to get. I would recommend to those trying to cut the cable cord.
