Customers are saying

Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. While some found the channel selection adequate, others felt the price point was not justified by the performance. The antenna's setup was generally considered straightforward.

I would recommend this antenna to anyone who can't afford cable or on a budget. You get local channels and they're digital so the picture quality is really great.

Easy connection to TV. Works really well for an indoor Antenna. Picks up available stations most of the time. Do have to move around sometimes to get better reception on some channels. Do have a few issues with reception when it is really windy. All and all very satisfied

This bar attenna looks like a small woofer bar. I have mine sitting at the base of the tv. It picks up more channels with less fuss than any other antenna I have tried. It was definitely worth getting.

Antenna worked great for a few days. Then, the signal/picture began cutting in and out for no rhyme or reason. Tried positioning the antenna in countless ways, but have not been able to solve the problem. Will most likely buy another antenna if this problem persists any longer. That being said, it still beats paying for cable ;)

I purchased an antennae that had a 50 mile range. I never was able to pick up a station located in the same town in which I live, certainly less than a 50 mile radius; even though I moved the TV & antennae to different rooms and placed the antennae in the window, I still was not able to access stations. Very disappointing!

Hi Ttown, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE UltraPro Bar Amplified Antenna. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing signal issues with our product. Our priority is to offer complete customer satisfaction for all our customers. First, make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allow the antennas dipoles to be fully extended for better reception. The antenna must be connected to the TV and connected to a power source at all times in order for the antenna to function properly. Once these steps are complete we suggest you run another channel scan. If you are still not able to access any channels, your antenna may be over amplifying the signal. We recommend that you turn off the power inserter behind the antenna and rescan for channels again. If you have any more questions, please give us a call at 1-800-654-8483 option 1 and provide our Support Team with your ticket number 248538. We are eager to work together with you to get the best out of our product and help you with your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you GETechSupport

I loved the look of this antenna and how it seemed to blend in with the tv. I couldn't get it to work for me. I tried multiple places but didn't want to mount it on the wall. Maybe that's the trick but not my ideal. I returned it and return process was very easy. If it works for you people will never guess it's an antenna.

Purchased after a different antenna didn't seem to work well. It did bring in my favorite major network local channel (NBC). It did seem to have occasional channel loss (picture seemed to pixalate).

I’ve tried 3 over the air aentenna boosters to date and this one has worked the best for the money. It’s also small and easy to hide. Just wish that these would have a longer coax cable to give better positioning anywhere you may need to put it.

I bought this for my folks to receive distant channels. 60-miles was overkill, but I wanted to get the best signal possible. After wasting a whole afternoon positioning the antenna in various orientations and directions, I got a very slight improvement over the non-powered antenna. I returned it the next day

Hi Danny79150, thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Antenna. We are very sorry to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. As the manufacturer, our mission is to provide complete customer satisfaction and quality products that deliver the expected performance. Anytime we hear of problems encountered in the use of one of our products, we want to work with you directly and resolve the difficulties, the best we can.

From your description. The Antenna may be over amplifying the signal. Based on your current location, from the towers providing the signals, your antenna might be receiving too much power causing it to miss the signal. The antenna has a built-in amplifier, we recommend that you switch the amplifier to the OFF position located behind the antenna. Make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allow the antenna to receive the close range reception. You will need to scan for channels on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan. We recommend that you see you TV’s menu screen for this process or refer the instruction manual that came. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception. You will need to rescan your channels once the antenna has been repositioned.
If you have any other questions, please contact our Support team at 1-800-654-8483, press option 4 and provide them with your personal ticket # 294980. You can also email us at [email protected] and include your personal ticket number in the subject line. GETechSupport

According to the associate andbthe box, this antenna would capture signals within a 60 mile radius, however that was not the case. I placed the antenna throughout the house, in windows, upstairs, downstairs, all over. The channels would say they were available, but the reception was so weak, they would only touch.

Since I do not have cable, I needed an antenna to make my new UHD tv work. I bought this one but really didn’t want to pay $69.99. It didn’t pick up the distance away channels like it claimed it did. I went to WalMart and found the GE Ultra Pro Bar 250 for $35.00 which picks up the same exact channels as the Ultra Pro 400 which was $69.99. I returned the 400 and saved myself $34.99.
