Customers are saying

Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. While some found the channel selection adequate, others felt the price point was not justified by the performance. The antenna's setup was generally considered straightforward.

We live about 22 miles from the towers. We could scan about 30 channels in. Only 1 worked pretty solid, the rest pixelated at times, which is not what I expected. I put an out door antenna with an amplifier and scanned in about 70 channels all solid no issues. I gave the GE antenna to a friend who Iives about 11 miles from the towers and it works fine for them.

Looks good as opposed to the old bunny ears look. Gets good reception for the size. Like how it’s adjustable if you want to try and get the best signal possible and have the room to expand the arms out.

If I can get a signal it's good. But a lot of times the picture is pixelated or a goes out. I have to autoprogram every time I turn the TV on. The guide works just okay. The current show you're watching goes off and it has to think about populating the guide 4 a while. Not sure if it is the area I live in but it's supposed to have a 60 mile radius.

This serves its purpose indeed. We are located in a tough spot with horrible topography for line of sight signals. Super pleased with the reception of this antenna, we have it indoors on a window sill in our upstairs bedroom.

I have seen antennas that do better but this one was a bargain. I gave this to my mom along with another TV so she could get local channels so I will say this is a decent antenna.

We decided to cut the cable and couldn't be happier. This antenna is perfect for receiving your local channels in crystal clear quality. Placing it by a window really helped.

its not working for me like it said it would, maybe it because the area where I live. I have it connected to the TV, but can only see I few channels, I tried several "channel search" and "moving the antenna" but the results were the same. I guess it would work on some other area

Hello GoingPostal, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE Ultra Pro Bar HD Antenna. We apologize that you are having problems getting reception with your antenna. Our priority is to offer complete customer satisfaction for all our customers. Depending on your location regarding terrain, elevation, etc. and depending on the location of the transmitters for your local stations will determine in large part, the type of antenna required to pull in the stations. Both your general location and the specific area that the antenna is located can affect reception. The distance, terrain and obstacles (buildings, power lines, etc.) between you and the signal tower greatly affect the strength of the signal that reaches you. Where you locate the antenna in the room can also affect the strength of the signal that you receive. In general the higher you locate the antenna the better signal you will get. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and locate the antenna closer to that direction. If you have any more questions, please give us a call at 1-800-654-8483 option 1 and provide our Support Team with your ticket number 256737. We set up the antenna in the lower level of the house and works very well. Good reception and good picture (it is connected to an 55in OLED). Save tons of money on cable.

Hi Coco, thank you for reaching out to us regarding our GE UltraPro Bar HD 400 indoor Amplified Antenna. We are very sorry to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. Our mission is to provide complete customer satisfaction and quality products that deliver the expected performance. We would love to work with you directly to resolve the issue, so you can enjoy our products to their full potential.
First, make sure that the antenna is fully extended on each end. This will allow the antennas dipoles to be fully extended for better reception. The antenna must be connected to the TV and connected to a power source at all times in order for the antenna to function properly. Once these steps are complete we suggest you run another channel scan. If you are still not able to access any channels, your antenna may be over amplifying the signal. We recommend that you switch the amplifier to the OFF position behind the antenna and rescan for channels again. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception.
Yes, our price for our UltraPro Amplified Antennas is slightly higher than the other Antennas we have. Our Ultra Pro Antennas are equipped with build in amplifier for superior signal reach up to 60 miles and is HD ready. Also, we have our basic antennas that delivers 30 mile range signal performance at half the cost.
If you have any other questions, please contact our Support team at 1-800-654-8483, press option 4 and provide our Support Team with your personal ticket # 278437. You can also email us at [email protected] and include your personal ticket number in the subject line. GETechSupport

I paid quite a bit of money for this antenna, thinking that it might do more than what the $10 digital antenna doesthat I previously owned. Unfortunately, I don't get any extra channels, the channels that I do get her no more clear, and I still have difficulty with one of the channels that's less than 50 miles away from where I reside.

We bought 2 of these antennas, we have a "Smart TV", and bought a membership with Sling TV. We dropped cable, the antenna on the upstairs TV works 90% of the time, the main TV worked about 15% of the time, worked best if I wanted to watch QVC or HSN, easily lost signal
