Customers are saying

Customers regard the UltraPro Bar HD 400 Indoor Amplified Antenna favorably for its picture quality and ease of use, with many also appreciating its compact size and attractive design. However, a significant number of users reported issues with reception and signal strength, leading to some dissatisfaction. While some found the channel selection adequate, others felt the price point was not justified by the performance. The antenna's setup was generally considered straightforward.

Does well with and without power

I purchased this item only because my previous model (RCA) was not a powered device. I heard the power devices are much better and pick up more channels. I am surprise to say that the device did pick up more channels however, it did better without the power. This has me scratching my head. I am still satisfied with the results and now longer have to move my antenna in order to get different channels. Great product for the 42223 area code.

Easy set up, great look. Not sure about the 60 mile distance, but some stations come in clear other stations are pixelated.

    Not A Bad Antenna

I decided to purchase GE UltraPro Bar HD 400 Amplified Antenna on the spot when I purchased my new 55" 4K UHD TV. I liked the look of the antenna compared to the flat antennas and the rabbit ears. I am happy I did. I pick up 32 channels where I was receiving 23 channels with my amplified rabbit ears. My one complaint is that I have to rescan channels a couple of times a day. I must turn the switch off and on before the scan or I will only get 3 channels. After rescan I get 32 channels again. Not sure why this happens.

I have tried over and over again to find an indoor antenna which can pull in local channels for the big TV in my livingroom, since I do not have a paid service provider. I know lots of things can affect an antenna's performance, but at least I can finally get crystal clear reception on three of the big five (NBC, CBS and FOX) as well as lots of smaller channels I don't really care about. I don't understand why I can't pull in the local PBS channel and ABC, but something is better than nothing.

Unbelievable picture! Like HD cable. You can't tell the difference. Only problem is we have trouble with NBC depending on weather.

If you can get this to face the right way when set up it gives better pic than cable. Sometimes it is hard to get a signal.

It does a nice job of picking up and holding the signal. Its an internal antenna, so it still have issues with small airplanes fly overhead, but overall it has done well and not lost power over time.

This product touts a 60 mile range and is higher priced than most at $65.00. Only gets ABC, CBS and Bounce, other 5 channels are unwatchable for the most part. Expected better return for the cost.

Bought this on clearance for $28.99 because of its 60 mile broadcast range. Received it in the mail on 8/20/18 and it was easy to hook up and works as advertised. I did have to place it in a window location to receive all the local channels we were wanting (NBC, Fox, CBS, and ABC), but luckily our TV is in an area where placing this sort of "hides" it from everything else. For the price we paid we are satisfied.

My mom is unable to get cable where she lives in the country and is surrounded by trees. She was having a hard time getting any signal. This works perfect! Plugged in and did a channel search. She's now getting all the basic regular channels for free. I also grabbed this on sale for about $17 which is even more of a deal!

This is my 3rd powered indoor antenna, attached directly to one TV -- and gets the best reception of the three in my woodsy area some distance from the transmitting stations (I don't have cable or satellite, by choice). However, the reception differs considerably from room to room, and it does require moving around to get consistent reception without pixellation. Worth the money, even if I do have to adjust it occasionally.

While this antenna is on par with some of the other indoor antennas, this one is discreet and hides easily. My TV is in the SE corner of my house, so it picks up the Cincinnati channels very well, but some of the Dayton channels are intermittent. I am considering a second one for the bedroom TV, as the cheap blade style just isn't cutting it. This antenna allowed me to drop cable, and only for the price of just one month service.
