Customers are saying

Customers value the fun gameplay and engaging story mode in Gears of War: Judgment. However, some feel the campaign is too short and the initial map selection is limited, impacting the overall value. The addition of new weapons is appreciated by some, while others find the price point too high for the amount of content provided. Concerns were also raised regarding the lack of content, particularly online.

Played through the game really quickly as the game is short. Its still fun, its still GOW. The declassified missions change things up a bit. If your a fan of the series its a must play. Regardless of how good or bad it is.

    Weakest Gears

This gears of war game disappointed big time. after playing 1-3 again before this came out, i was hoping of a good game with great multiplayer, but that was not the case. Story was weak and the declassified missions hurt the gameplay sometimes. Multiplayer was changed to feature NO HORDE Mode and you battle against COG members, no locust to choose from. This was a big Letdown of a game.

Great Game... love the GOW series! I like the Declass Missions in the storyline and it is fun to be able to customize everything as well from guns to skins.

    Over-hyped...

Wow, where to start?... The maps are too big and not mirrored. This means that spawning next to a Boomshot right off the bat gives an unfair advantage. The maps themselves do not promote any tactical team coordination, as there is nowhere to set up a base to defend. Epic tried to fix a lot of things that weren't broken, and broke the things they had just fixed from Gears 3. If you want mindless 2-piecing action with endless frag grenades sticking all over the place, grab this. If you want a game that actually required skill, stick with its predecessor.

A step in the wrong direction

The Gears franchise that we all came to love is gone in Gears of War Judgment. They have made too many changes to the multiplayer (You only start out with one primary, grenades are now default, no execution, etc) that made Gears, well Gears. For new fans, the game is decent, but for the hardcore Gears fans it's a real disappointment and feels too Call of Duty like.

But after playing this game for about 8 hours it just felt different and odd. I know the developers were going for the game to be different and of course it's always good for a game franchise to change it's ways. That's if it's in a good direction of course. Now don't get me wrong, this is still a pretty solid game but it just has something missing to it.

What was great about GOW was it was different. Not anymore! If I wanted to play COD i would have bought COD. This storyy line was horrible the game play was horrible. they added pieces of horde to the campaign. the campaign was very short.

Looks good but not as good as the first 3 games

I was really looking forward to gears judgment but in playing it it feels much more lacking than the previous games in the series. It started off with just 4 regular multiplayer maps which hurts the long term appeal. Overrun is an okay mode but gets boring. Domination is the best thing to play

Judgement adds many improvements and tweaks to an already established series. The lacks of modes from previous installments is the only downside.

    Really bad game

It shipped with only four maps, lacks characters out of box. Multiplayer is no longer human vs. locust it is red vs. blue, and with the lack of characters and different player camos it is hard to tell friend from foe. They changed the control scheme, the story is quite boring and tedious. The game doesnt feel complete and feels as though they tried to make it more like CoD. This is not gears of war, if your a gears fan you might find some fun in the continuation of the story, otherwise if you are not a gears fan pass on the game.
