Customers are saying

Customers value the fun gameplay and engaging story mode in Gears of War: Judgment. However, some feel the campaign is too short and the initial map selection is limited, impacting the overall value. The addition of new weapons is appreciated by some, while others find the price point too high for the amount of content provided. Concerns were also raised regarding the lack of content, particularly online.

While this is definitely a Gears title (cover-shooting, chainsaw bayonets, Locusts), it comes off as feeling like Gears Lite. Would've been nice to get DLC showing what Marcus, Dom, and the rest were doing while Kilo Squad was doing their thing.

This game adds on to the story of the original trilogy. It is a nice addition to what Gears of War has already done, but there is nothing really in the form of innovation or anything that sets it apart from the rest of the games in the series.

While the campaign mode is a little shorter than I hoped for, the on-line multi-player seems to be fairly extensive. I'm a die hard COG fan. The game play was very enjoyable. They've added a few new weapons, characters, and a new feature that gives you additional challenges if you choose to take the challenge. I definitely recommend this if you are a COG head. I give it 4.5 Stars.

Remember with the previous entries, you basically started walking at the start of the game and kept going towards the next objective, fighting Locusts along the way? Not in this campaign. Its all stages, with breaks in between. Much more arcade-y, with each stage being a big gun battle. Before, you kinda walked into trouble. Here, when the stage starts, you just get ready to shoot. Oddly enough, the "Aftermath" section is like the original entries. Its not bad really, just different, so this is just a heads up :)

This game is awesome and I snagged it for a great deal at best buy. 50% off is no joke! The game is great and shows u the story line about E day and it follows Baird and coke train going through everything. New mission set up allows you to earn stars depending on how you do. Also there is a. Option to make the mission harder and earn more stars. Good game!

Pretty much GoW3 will a huge positive title update!! Co-Op campaign is freaking awesome! The new weapons added make it a little more strategic as well as add to the fun. I'm not a fan of Overrun ( the replacement of horde) it's 12 waves of defending a generator. 50 waves of crazy killing was waaay better!!! Overall great game though!

Good multiplayer gameplay, however there isn't a very good story. The characters all suck, everyone usually picks Baird in online. There's no cut stomping, no Cog vs Locust in online play. There's only 4 maps included with the game. Overall, just stick to Gears of War 3 or wait for this game to go on sale.

If you've played the last three Gears of War games, Judgment is more of the same. It's a little bit more difficulty, if you play with the Declassified stuff on. And grenade tags are gone. But at its heart it remains the same game. If you're a fan of the books, note that it steamrolls right over a lot of the material established about the Hammer of Dawn and Adam Fenix. Which, while that's Epic's right, is disappointing.

Judgment is literally as much fun as Gears of War 2. It doesn’t have this scope one had, but it operates on a grand scale. I enjoyed playing it. For a moment I felt like it was more of a DLC of GOW 3, It's like that feeling of going back to your favorite store and find they sold it to a different company and now the service is not the same. Well still good enough to sasistafy the GOW fan.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Gears of War series of games but this feels like the same game as Gears of War 3 but with a different story. I would still recommend buying and playing the game to all fans of the series in order to get the full story of Marcus and his squad before the events of the first Gears of War. Awsome graphics and sound really imerse you in the game. Would definitely pick it up.

Gears of War: Judgment is a good game, but it is not at all comparable to other Gears of War titles. The game is essentially your average 3rd person shooter now. Multiplayer is fun, but it is nothing unique. The ability to use 4 weapons is gone, and you are now limited to 2 weapons at any time. Most of the variety of characters are gone, and the game tries to make up for this by adding different paint jobs to the same character or weapon. Judgment is a fun game, but it is produced by People Can Fly, and not EPIC Games. People Can Fly really tried to capture a larger market, bringing in Call of Duty and Halo fans. Sadly, if you were a huge fan of the previous Gears titles, you will be a little disappointed in the game over all. If you are looking for a game for solely single player story, the story of this game is by far its saving grace. The story add's all kinds of features, and actually keeps things from past Gears games, that had been taken out of the multiplayer.

I've played all Gears of War games, and this is my least favorite. The campaign mode was great, and one of the best. However, the online multiplayer is too limiting. There are only 4 maps, and they have taken away Horde. They replaced Horde with Overrun, but it is not near as fun or lasting. It is still a good game, but not as good as past editions.

Really, you won't be shocked and amazed by what you see here in terms of campaign, but do bear in mind that there have been some innovations in the online experience, so if you're into that, you should be happy. I like these games, so I'm not put off by merely another chapter (or prequel), but it does hurt replay value a bit for me.

I've played this a bit but haven't gotten into it as much as the previous games of the series. It seems to have a good storyline and gameplay is similar but there are more sidequests. It's definitely a decent game but I just enjoyed the previous games more.
