I purchased this service to help me diagnose my computer problems after a recent Win10 update put my PC in an infinite boot loop. Microsoft help line wanted to reinstall Windows, erasing everything on my HDD. I turned to Geek Squad and discussed my options. Purchased a new SSD to replace original HDD, and had them install Windows, Then I installed my original HDD to xfer old files off. Worked for about 20 minutes until I had to do a reboot, then the boot loop started up again. After several trips back to Geek Squad having them reinstall windows and trying different ideas, I determined the issue was probably in the mother board or the CPU (6 year old i5), rather than throw more money at it I purchased a new PC, and an external SATA-USB device to xfer my old files on to the new PC. This has taken me almost 2 months, back and forth, waiting several days each time to get my PC back. I think if the Geek Squad would have done a little more troubleshooting, including several reboots, hard & soft, they would have realized the problem was more extensive than a Windows issue, and some time could have been saved and I would not have needed to purchase some of the cables & a new HDD. Decent service overall, but they need to dig a little deeper to determine if the problem has really been resolved.

Since purchasing my Geek Squad 24/7 coverage I feel very secure that this has been a great investment. I have contacted this service at least three times for assistance on our two laptops. One of these was to retrieve lost data. Another one was to get help with another computer issue. The service was fast and very professional. I highly recommend this service for everyone with a computer.

I went to Geek Squad because my laptop was hacked and the hackers put a code on it for me not to be able to use my laptop. I was nervous because I thought it was going to take a long time to fix and it was gonna be expensive to fix if it was retrievable. Not only did I get my laptop back a day early, they were able to save all homework that was stored on my laptop. Thanks Geek Squad.

Computer literacy is not my forte and I frequently have questions or problems. I find it best to go and talk to a person rather than try to solve a problem over the phone. The representatives at the Best Buy have been quite helpful and courteous and have always solved the issue. They now require you to call and make an appointment and I prefer to drop in but I'm sure it works better for them with the appointments

As the victim of a scam, I reached out to the men and women of the Geek squad and felt so relieved when they were able to return my system to its norm! They have the expertise to resolve the issue. Happy to be able to purchase this through the protection plan. They were both professional and friendly. I definitely wouldn't go without their protection with any further electronic purchase.

The Geek Squad fixed my blue screen of death problem on my computer I had purchased a few weeks earlier. They successfully downloaded my files and reinstalled them. The service was fast and professional. Computer is working like a champ now. The only semi-negative comment about this is I would have liked to know what they found, no one wrote the details of the service on the order form.

I have already used them to swap 16gb of memory in my HP Envy x360 laptop with the AMD Ryzen processor. However, the bumper strip on the bottom of the laptop came off about a week later and underneath are all of the screws, so it didn't get glued back down properly. I plan on bringing it up next month when I go back in to have them swap in the Samsung 970 PCIE drive for my boot drive and remove the old school 1tb disc hard drive.

I was having trouble connecting to my router. I called Geek Squad to get help. They couldn't solve my problem over the phone but suggested that I get help in store or at home. Suggested that I try in store since that wouldn't cost me anything. We made an appointment to get help in store. Maybe that will solve my problem so I won't have to pay them to come to my house to fix the problem.

I am very pleased with the services of the Geek Squad here at the Best Buy Store in Surprise, Arizona. They successfully removed some viruses, and provided me with WebRoot protection. They also removed an unwanted program that I couldn't eliminate by using the usual uninstall measures. I am very pleased with their polite, prompt and competent services. Happily recommend them to others.

Before I contacted the Geek squad I was to the point that there’s not gonna be any help from my computer. I contacted them just seeing if they could put some spyware or adware on there and Get it running like a blast. They offered me the protection that I have now taking any viruses and spyware all. The peace of mind knowing if I have any issues I can contact them is priceless.

Even though it was more added on to my purchase of the laptop, it was a great help to me when I had issues setting things up. I brought it in and they were able to help fix the problem. They couldn't figure out why some things were happening, so they researched it and they helped me. They stopped at nothing to figure out and help me set my computer to exactly how I want it.

On the purchase of my H.P. laptop, I opted to take the three year protection plan with the squad. In today's environment, you can not be too careful with all the attempted intrusions from hackers. I bring my H.P. in at least twice a year and each time trogens have shown up. I have a good firewall, but they do breach it. It is well worth the cost to get protected.

My agent, Scott was very knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the benefits of the coverage to me so that I would be able to make a decision. He patiently answered all my questions. After I picked up my computer he explained what had been done and helped me make sure that I understood how to use the Webroot program. Definitely one of the best experiences I had at Best Buy.

Wow! Anyone with a computer knows they don't always respond like you would like them to. Over the years I have used many different tech companies and always had serious issues. I decided to try the Geek Squad, what a great decision. My three computers are all up and running with out a glitch for over a year. Take it in or call on the phone. They are awesome.

My prayers have been answered, I wanted a place I could take my computer to for upgrades, service etc. I'm on my second contract with Geek Squad and am so happy with it. It's the first time I found someone that could really take care of any issues I have with my computer. I've had so many in the past and none have come close and I spent a lot more cash on them.

My son's custom gaming PC needed to be looked at and I made an appointment with the Geek Squad in Best Buy Apple Valley location. Boy, am I so glad I did! They recommended this program as a more cost effective option. It definitely was! They fixed my son's PC and the only expense was for the plan! Now we have a backup plan if 3 devices in our family need repairs! So worth it!

I purchased the lowest cost sound bar for my kitchen area. My TV required volume at a high level at certain stations, and was too loud when I changed channels. The sound bar allows the volume to be same at all the channels so I don't need to keep adjusting every time I turn on the TV. I'm happy with this Insignia brand with no frills and low cost. I wanted something easy and simple and I got it.

I had heard horror stories about enormous fees, not knowing what they were doing, etc. that I had avoided using Geek Squad. But MicroSoft upgrades locked up my computer and my son as well as several others recommended the Geek Squad. They were great. setup new computer and were also able to, with a lot of effort, break into the old computer and make it usable again. Thanks!

I recently bought service contracts from your Geek Squad and the service you then provided was EXCELLENT. The home visit was great and the techs that came to my home and the techs in the store were kind and patient with me despite my age (70). Other than when I purchased my laptop, I haven't had any dealings with the Geek Squad. However, that didn't stop me from signing up for the piece-of-mind that I feel comes with Geek Squad support. As one who is, shall we say, not so tech-savvy, I felt that the added reasonable expense was well-worth it. In my younger days we used to ridicule geeks; now we can't live in this connected world without them. GEEKS RULE!!!
