Tried several times even called support they eventually hung up on me. Emailed them was told they would help but then they said was defective out of warranty and wouldn't help me. Having same issues resetting two plugs.. so it's either there merchandise is crap or support sucks

Connecting our devices should be easy as long as you are connected to a 2.4 GHz networks so that it can accommodate wider range since the 5 GHz that cannot penetrate walls and floors. This is a easy fix, since most routers nowadays are dual-band, you can ask your Internet Service Provider to separate the two networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) so you can connect your device to 2.4 GHz WIFI connection and connecting your device to AP mode. Best WiFi Strip For The Price!

THIS THING IS AMAZING when set up correctly. Control 6 devices remotely, set schedules for the week or weekdays or specific days, and a countdown timer to turn off or on devices. Only thing I expect (but not a disappointment) was for it to have mounting openings in the bottom of the unit. Overall, really great product to start automating your home and would recommend!!

Great IOT entry option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When we initially started buying IOT or “smart” devices we bought a lot of Geeni devices. You will also see it branded Merkury. They work well with both Amazon Echo aka Alexa and Google/Nest voice assistants. When we started expanding into SmartThings and looking to control devices through ActionTiles (a control panel or GUI that runs on tablets we have set up in each room) for touch panel control because we don’t always want to talk to something we found Geeni too limiting because the devices ONLY work with Google, Alexa and the Geeni app. There is no IFTTT support and as far as I know the API can’t be used for a custom device handler. We had the switches, plugs, power strips, bulbs and cameras. The cameras work great on smart displays. I offloaded everything Geeni to my mom because she doesn’t want to use anything beyond Alexa. The devices are very reliable, easy to set up and affordable. Just wish IFTTT integration was there.
