One of the best open world games I've played, and up at the top of my favorites on the playstation platforms. Fantastic combat, wonderful story, and beautiful setting.

This game is simply breathtaking! The graphics are on point. The story is amazing! I does get hard in some spot but all in all a game worth getting for the PS5!

I've been gaming for over thirty years and this is easily in my personal top ten games of all time. Long, engaging and emotional story with amazing art direction. There's so many side quests and the map itself is huge, so you have a ton to explore and discover. The controls are tight and the combat is fun. The voice acting is incredible too these guys put so much emotion and passion into bringing these characters to life. The controls are tight and the combat is fun. The PS5 directors cut improves the games overall performance like loading times, visuals, and framerate from the PS4. It also includes the dlc which adds an entirely new area to explore. Just an amazing journey you need to experience for yourself. Highly recommend playing.

I have been fully immersed in this game since I purchased it. The buildup, while telling you the backstory is also teaching you the mechanics of the gameplay, which I find much better than reading what the "moves" are. Additionally, the visuals are really good. I will say that it can be a bit dark in some scenes if you use the recommended settings, but you can easily dial up the brightness a bit and you will be fine.

I play wayy too many video games (my wife will agree). This game is amazing. The combat is very good and not overly challenging like Dark Souls which I hate. It doesn't require perfect timing to master yet is still challenging. The graphics are amazing and a stable 60 FPS at 4K.
The thing I wasn't expecting here is just how long this game actually is. It is MASSIVE. I mean seriously massive. The amount of very cool side quests and unlockables and hidden weapons and armor sets is overwhelming. Great value for the money. Must buy for PS5 owners.

Really great game. Up there with God of War, AC Valhalla. The story line is good and I think the characters are very memorable. In some games character development is not as good and they blend together but not in this game. I look forward to the meeting each character again as the story line continues. Sword play is interesting and keeps you on your toes. Last but not least , it’s a beautiful game.

The outstanding PS4 action title is given an excellent update in this port. Improved performance, as well as an improved Japanese lip-sync for any fans of the game's more authentic dub.
Ghost of Tsushima tells the tale of Jin Sakai, a samurai who survives a crushing defeat at the outset of a Mongol invasion, and finds himself forced to compromise his code of honor in order to turn the tide of battle. What this entails is using traditional samurai battle tactics as well as "ghost tactics" that see you using poisons, tricks, and other means to decimate enemy forces.
While far from the most challenging game out there, GOT still offers a fun experience that requires a lot of patience to master if you want the best out of the combat sytem.

Fun game with great graphics and game play. It has a big open world with lots of side quests. Challenging but not overly hard. Some of the attack combo's can be difficult with the sequences of buttons that has to be input.

This is one of the best PS 5 games. It is stunning to look at with a great story. Combat evolves as your character learns more stances and builds them out. It’s in the vein of Assassin’s Creed games with the Japanese history intertwined.

Good hack and slash action. Can become hectic as you'll need to keep changing stances for a variety of opponents. Archers can be a pain especially towards end of game when they start firing flame and poison arrows. Try to kill them first. Game looks great on PS5 no glitches.

The game is really pretty. I found that it became boring though after a few hours. It reminded me of an Assassins Creed but not as massive. I honestly like Assassins Creed Odyssey and Valhalla more. I made the mistake of playing Ghosts after so maybe that was why I found it slightly disappointing.

This game is average at best. The game is pretty good looking and has great music. Although it isn't the best looking PlayStation game it's art style really helps it.
The story is a mixed bag unfortunately. The relationship between Jin Sakai (the main character) and his uncle (Lord Shimura) is the best part of the story. They differ on their views of how to deal the Mongols during the invasion of their homeland. Jin supports using dishonorable (Ghost combat) methods of warfare while Lord Shimura, being a Samurai, prefers only that which is considered honorable in the Samurai code. The rest of the side characters are pretty forgettable with some moments of their storylines being interesting.
Unfortunately, the gameplay aspect of the game doesn't match the story they are pushing causing narrative dissonance. I played the game and enjoyed it more using the Samurai method of combat. I liked it that much more that I didn't really use the Ghost combat weapons. So, when the narrative tells you are being dishonorable it really takes you out of the story if you prefer to play it the honorable way.
The other main thing I did not like about this game were the fox dens and hot springs. You can easily run across the map for around two hours and go to every spot and max out your health and stamina and charms.
The last main thing I did not like about the game was that every side mission involves tracking. And these tracking side missions follow two plots usually.
1. You meet someone who needs help saving their family, you have to track their footprints from wherever they came from, and after getting to your destination you find out no one in their family survived.
2. You need to track someone because they are doing something in secret; and you find out they have a good reason or they don't, and you can maybe choose what happens to them.
The DLC story was not that great either. They try to flesh out some stuff with Jin's father, but it fell flat for me.
They also made the Mongols a lot stronger by allowing them to change what type of weapon they use. (Whatever weapon they use you need to change your Samurai stance to effectively deal with them.)
The problem I had with this is that the enemies will magically change their weapons when you are about to strike them in one stance, and you realize you are not dealing enough damage or are taking too much. The animation needs to be longer for the weapon changes, so it's easily seen.
I would recommend this game if it were half price.

This game is has one of the best Open Worlds, Progression, and Graphics that games can offer, I could not recommend it more for anyone who is interested in immersing themselves in a rich world of samurai .

Didnt get a chance to get it on PS4 but thank goodness I did on the PS5. Love the graphics and the game is not hard or boring like most nowadays. Happy its a sony exclusive so it reminds me of spiderman, god of war, horizon zero dawn game play. With the large mapping, skill trees, side missions etc. Even my 5 yr old loves to watch me play lol
