The immersive open world and beautiful scenery provide ample opportunities for exploration, enhanced by a highly praised photo mode. While some players found the difficulty level manageable and noted minor issues with the AI and side missions, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. Many also appreciated the game's special edition features.

Great game overall. The story was fantastic, voice-acting is some of the best I've ever experienced, and the combat is not overly complex but extremely satisfying once you get the hang of it. I enjoyed how you can brazenly challenge groups of enemies in katana standoffs or embrace a stealthier, ninja strategy with equal ease. It does so many things well and I found it to be so engrossing I played through it marathon style and got the platinum trophy in 4-5 days. It never felt like it dragged and combat stayed enjoyable all the way through. Actually, if anything it gets way better once you become nigh unstoppable with all your secondary weapons and special moves/techniques. I played it on the hard difficulty and it is very challenging but I sampled the normal mode and it seemed good for someone who wanted to focus on the story more than the combat. Something else I remember being surprised by is how much customization of your clothing, armor, and weaponry is available to you, especially if you explore a lot like I usually do. The amount of gear and skins you can find puts so many games to shame. One last thing to mention is that the soundtrack is very memorable and it definitely put me in the mood and matches the setting and action accurately every time I picked up the controller. I would give this game an easy 9/10. I can't honestly think of anything I didn't like about it but I'm sure there are things that could've been done better. I really hope they do some dlc for this game on one of the other islands of Japan or at least they need to do a sequel because this character and setting has future possibilites.

This game is a must have for any ps4 owner. I wasn't to keen on picking this game up leading up to it's launch, but darn am I happy I did. I thought the story was fairly good, it's not a next level mind blowing narrative, but it defiantly hit the mark for me. The Gameplay can be super addictive. Stealthily killing enemies while using your bow, and ninja tools is highly satisfying, but just showing up and slaughtering all the Mongols in your site is also soo much fun. It really makes you feel like you are Jin Sakai, a samurai and ghost. Side Quests range from your boring do this, come back, and you're done. To Side stories that span 9 quests, or the entire game, as in you have to complete certain main story acts/quests to continue playing that side story. On top of it all there are the typical forts, random encounters, collectibles, and extras for increasing your stats, which are all fun and rewarding in there own way. The graphics. They're amazing, maybe the best looking game on the ps4, and the photo mode was done perfectly. Last is the multiplayer. I haven't played a ton of it, but the 7 hours I did play was so much fun. Sucker punch really nailed the multiplayer. Multiplayer has it's own story, raids i think, and a kind of survival mode that you play with 3 other people. Also an excellent time. If you read this and still haven't played it. Play it. It's a great open world action adventure game.

    Can't spell GOTY with GOT!

This game is a serious contender for Game of the Year. The graphics are breathtakingly beautiful. The voice acting is top notch. Combat is simple to understand but challenging to master with all the ways you can handle it differently. The intro alone was masterfully done. My heart was racing before the opening act was finished! Unfortunately, this game has become target for a lot of unwarranted hate. Why? Because it is stealing attention from The Last of Us 2. There's been numerous 0/10 scores on a certain sight while giving TLoU2 a 10/10 and no other reviews in that accounts history. The fans of TLoU2 are doing whatever they can to drag its score down for no other reason cause it threatens their pick for GOTY. Politics aside, the fact you can't (at this time) find a physical copy anywhere should tell you just how sought after this game is! It's sold out everywhere, EVERYWHERE. There's waiting lists to get it. So if you happen to find one sitting on the shelf of your local Best Buy...GET IT! This game is a breath of fresh air and gives players an enjoyable experience that doesn't kick in them in the stomach emotionally. I was barely two hours into the game before I actually gave a crap about the main protagonist. You get to grow with him as he reflects on his life with each step he takes. It's an AMAZING experience. I can't recommend this game enough!

The game is stunning I play every game that comes out and this is the most gorgeous game I have ever played. Voice acting Top notch story is pretty good side missions are a little boring. The only real problem with the game that I had Is the camera when you’re fighting it can cause a lot of problems. Not enough though to ruin the experience. I think it’s a must play.

I have always wanted the assassins creed franchise to be set in Japan and be able to play as a samurai. Well I believe the studio sucker Punch knocked it out of the park. The combat in this game is great the story is compelling and probably one of the most gorgeous open world games I have ever had the pleasure of being in. This is my game of the year hands down.

This game is just beautiful. It's got challenging combat. A very good story that is not kid friendly. An easy and effecient upgrade system. The cut scenes are amazing and the characters change in a logical way. I would place this game in the top five for gameplay. It's gotta be top two overall. I'd say a tie with final fantasy ten. With better graphics.

This is a gorgeous and extremely fun open world game. The story is very appealing and well developed story through the main mission and the secondary missions or tales. The only big problem with the game is that the enemies AI is extremely bad and it doesn’t count the things you do if you are not doing it in the predetermined order the game wants you to do it.

This game was exactly what I wanted. A compact open world experience (that's not too long but not too short), fun and responsive, weighty sword combat, and an interesting story. The aesthetic of the game is amazing, and the guiding wind mechanic really gives you time to appreciate the game. I hope this gets a sequel because it was so much fun.

To start, the combat is fun and satisfying. There is depth to it and you can spend skill points to play to your preferences. There are lots of good side-quests scattered throughout. I was worried that they would all be of the, go there, kill that variety, but I was pleased to find that it hasn't been the case all the time. I have not beaten the game as of yet, but as an example, there is a side-quest where you go to look for plague-stricken villagers. There was no killing in that one. I think that kind of variety is essential in depicting some of the breadth of what it means to live by the bushido code. The graphics are stunning. That's about all I have to say about that. Possibly the only detractor I will state is that the npc's are somewhat clunky. For example, archers posted on cliffs sometimes fall down in combat for reasons of sheer clumsiness. Also, the exotic birds that you can follow are not the best fliers. They often collide with buildings and occasionally they have collided with the player-character. I wonder if this could be a future fix. Overall, a wonderful game!

I'm having fun with the game. The game is by far probably the most gorgeous game I've played so far! The picture mode is also really great! It may not be the greatest thing when it comes to frame rates and there are a few bugs. But hopefully that'll begin to change with new consoles coming later this year. The game is a solid game with an average 20-30 hour story. I'm hardly through it but only cause I like taking my time with games. I got BOTW for Switch for holiday 2018 and just recently beat it. I wanted to 100% a game and get everything before fighting the final boss. That boss was way too easy with how OP I became hahaha. For my shopping experience, I ordered the game online from Indiana but I made the move to Texas over time. It was no problem as I was able to go to the BestBuy nearest to me now and get the delivery changed. Wasn't able to get it sent directly to my address, so no getting the game the day before like I had with a much earlier purchase. But it was no problem. The store would receive it on launch day. They sent me a message and I was able to get easy-peasy.

The game is definitely a must-play for anyone with a Playstation. The graphics are beautiful, the story captivating, and the open-world vast with activity. However, I pre-ordered the game expecting it on release day (as promised). I understand that with the pandemic, everything is delayed. But the lack of communication, especially as to where my package was, was a little annoying. My pre-order of The Last Of Us Part 2 was also delayed. A delay with no communication until the day of release is weird, seeing that my pre-order of Animal Crossing (a major game release) arrived right on time. Other than that, the game itself is good. Just be aware of the loose promise of "release day guarantee" for any of these stores.

Ghost of Tsushima is an absolutely gorgeous and enjoyable ps4 exclusive that is certain to not disappoint. I would say the best way to describe this game to those who do not know is a highly polished Assassin's Creed game set in 1200's Japan. Play style is extremely versatile, as one can prioritize the game mechanics of a Samurai through what are called stances, or the more stealth oriented tools of "the ghost" (including shuriken, bows, various bomb types, blow darts, and more). The open world is vast, and players are free to pursue both side and main quests at their leisure. However, it is worth noting that the game sets out to tell a single story. As such, there are very few quests with deviating results based on choice. This is not necessarily a good or bad thing, but should be considered based on one's tastes. The extras that come with the special edition are nice to have, but not necessary. You will have just as good a time on the cheaper standard edition.

Really enjoying the game. The backgrounds are beautiful and some of the best I have ever seen in a game. The story is pretty immersive too. If you want a challenge play on lethal mode for a more realistic fight since one hit and you'll kill or be killed.
