Great upgrade from ghost of Tsushima greater graphics play style and story. You can upgrade the disc version in game for $10 for the directors cut.

Ghost of Yotei continues the quality of Ghost of Tsushima. The world feels natural and flows so well. The gameplay feels perfectly balanced like the original and the story, while not as vast as the first, feels weighty and true to life.

Sprawling, beautiful landscapes, but the open world side quests do get a little repetitive after a while, as all grinding typically does. The story isn’t really groundbreaking, there are some very predictable moments and mid character tropes. The development and speed of the storyline are enough to keep you engaged and wanting to know what’s going to happen next. The rich historical context and immersive nature of this game are enough to warrant 5 stars. However, the gameplay can be clunky and feels really unnatural at times, even with a custom mapped controller.

Awesome game. I love the story and the rich world. Exploration is rewarded from start to finish. Much like Ghost of Tsushima I am left anxiously waiting for the next installment in the series.

This was an awesome game. I think it played better than first title, Ghost of Tsushima. The story was kind of standard and has been done many times before in multiple types of media. However, it was well presented and emotionally poignant. I think it's a standout version of the samurai revenge storyline. There were a couple of good twists at various stages, and the main character is so relatable that it's hard not to like her.

This is my favorite game of 2025. Ghost of Yotei takes everything about Ghost of Tsushima and improves it while telling a brand new story several decades in the future. Ghost of Yotei follows the story of Atsu, a young woman who seeks revenge on a group of assassins who brutally slaughtered her family when she was just a child. Atsu travels across the open world of Yotei with her horse and wolf to learn the combat and weaponry techniques needed to get her revenge. She gains allies and abilities to aid her as she travels across the open world. There are new weapons like the kusarigama, yari and firearms. The graphics are stunning, second only to Death Stranding 2 in quality. This is one of the best looking games you can play anywhere right now. If you have a PS5 do yourself a favor and play this one you will not regret it.

Overall, it’s a great game. It’s a lot of fun, has excellent gameplay, smooth fighting & animations & looks beautiful. However, I liked the first game, Ghost of Tsushima, a little more than this one. Maybe it’s because the first game was so new with nothing like it at the time. This is still one if the best top tier games on PS5.

A true sequel that takes full advantage of the PS5 and Pro's capabilities. This sequel continues the positive trajectory of Sucker Punch being a dark horse developer. Ghost of Tsushima was a massive surprise and Yotei takes everything Tsushima did and refines it. A more streamlined game world, new gameplay that keeps Tsushima intact while refining and adding new things, and pure unfiltered love for Akira Kurosawa. If you have a PS5/Pro, this is worth every cent.

Ghost of tsushima had a great protagonist, plot and gameplay and that made it a tough act to follow. Atsu is almost just as good of a character(more personality but sometimes frustratingly headstrong) the story is almost as good but the gameplay is definitely better. The travel is improved with horse speed and attack options as well as an even more versatile tool set. There's even a nice side quest that pays heavy respect to Jin. 9/10 or 10/10

If you liked the first game this is a good sequel with improved gameplay and side activities. Only downside in my opinion is the story is not as gripping.

Similar to Tsushima. Some extra gameplay elements but nothing much to differentiate from Tsushima outside of characters and story. Nonetheless, great game! Tsushima's story was better in my opinion. Still a beautiful game, the showdowns were great.
