The pressure is up to you. The spin is smooth and does not tangle your hair. It not only massages the scalp, its great for sinus headaches and base of the neck headaches. The 4 circular silicone attachments each with 4 "fingers" is great through the shoulders as well.
The feeling is similar to having your hair washed at a salon. And at the end of a long day it just feels really nice to wind down to.
The settings and motions are smooth. The charge lasts for a few cycles. And its comfortable to hold even with Arthritis.
I purchased one for myself and one for my husband's stocking stuffer. It is a great gift for hard to buy for people. Or people that seem to have everything.
The price is reasonable. And if youre doing a white elephant at work or secret santa you will definitely score by giving this. Depending on the budget.
It does say it is waterproof but i have not used it on wet hair. I do plan to use it for a scalp exfoliation. And i have noticed my scalp is less dry since using it.
And side note.... for those who get deQuervain's or arthritis in the thumb pads, this actually has small rollers that allow a deep tissue massage and small enough to get the webbing and thumb base that promotes relief.
I dont know too many people that don't love a good scalp massage. The pleasant surprise of the usefulness for hand massages and base of neck/tight traps and TMJ massage was just an added bonus!
For thick and curly hair or textured hair, you need to part your hair, then place the massager onto the scalp as close as possible. Once you do that, you can move it all around. But you have to first get it to make contact with the scalp!
