Customers praise the gameplay and find it fun and rewarding, with many noting its similarity to Monster Hunter but with a deeper experience. The story is also a highlight, described as surprisingly decent and better than expected by some players. However, some customers point out issues with the camera angles, especially during intense battles, and the audio quality in cutscenes.

It's a fun, meaty Action RPG with a surprisingly decent story. Fantastic music as well. It's english dub only, but voices are quite good and fits each character's personality perfectly. The eccentric Emil is a good example of great english voice acting. The game is very long, about 30 to 40 hours story, and then you have end game, which will give you over 100 hours of gameplay, easily.
My only gripe is the audio quality for cutscenes took a hit during the localization process, it sounds like they recorded the cutscene at fhe bottom of a well. Hopefully BandaiNamco will patch it.

Unique setting and deep weapons for MH "Clone"

I use the term "MH Clone" not as an insult but a quick way to describe the type of game. You basically hunt monsters (Aragami) to gather money and resources to improve your weapons to hunt bigger monsters. However, unlike Monster Hunter, there are weapon skill trees that you develop the more you use them and their move set. And you are equipment with both a melee weapon and a ranged weapon., switching seamlessly on-the-fly. Although multiplayer is available, I am having fun in single player with up to 3 AI teammates. Speaking of which, the story is much better than expected (and not dependent on the anime). The graphics are ok looking, much better than last gen but perhaps not PS4 "quality". But the gameplay is deep and rewarding.

I have never played Monster Hunter games, but from videos, that series would be the closest comparison. You are tasked with various missions getting paired up with characters from the anime series. It is fun and the gameplay makes things exciting, if at times frustrating. It can take some practice perfecting the system, but that's the fun in the game. The main drawbacks for me were the camera angles, and that majority of gameplay mechanics and history you read from a terminal. Most games let information unfold for the player organically. Overall though, it is a great game.

I am not super far into the game yet but it seems to be pretty cool. It is a bit confusing and the tutorial does not do a very good job of explaining things. I am thinking this is the kind of game you will have to explore outside sources to get information on as games don't come with instruction manuals any more. It is basically kind of a faster paced sci-fi-ish version of Monster Hunter. If you can imagine that then you have the basic idea of the game.

This game is a lot of fun, especially if you play multiplayer. If your a fan of slaying large monsters, which are all very well designed, then this is a great game for you.
Pros
- Excellent multiplayer
- very fluid combat
- tons and tons of customization options
- all round great action game
Cons
- can be repetitive
- camera angle isn't always the best in chaotic situations

It is basically like Monster Hunter, but there's more of a story. It is also fun playing with friends. Camera angles can be annoying, however. These types of games are usually for the people who like the grind though (ie. Dynasty Warriors, etc). Othewrise, the game probably isn't for you.

God Eater 2 has an audio bug that causes it to sound very muffled during a fair percentage of cutscenes, but the gameplay is there and fun if a bit slow starting out.

I love the story and i love the anime... but the control system utterly sucks and then need to fix this because the camera is 100% useless in a multi monster fight.

God Eater 1 & 2 included. I enjoy playing this with other people online. There are many different hunter games out there but i really enjoy God Eater. Love the pace, weapons styles and attacks/combos.

This game was a lot darker than I realized it would be, but the graphics and story make it very intriguing and I honestly love playing this. I'd definitely recommend this one.

Only English audio. The combat is fun, but the gameplay is very repetitive; just 10-20 minute fights against monsters in small arenas, again and again. Storyline is only okay, but it's great that you get 2 games for the price of 1.

This franchise is similar in nature to the Monster Hunter series. It's not as technical and seems to be quite a bit easier, which makes it fun to play in small bursts.

It's a really good game. Fans of the anime will love it, but it stands on its own. If you get the Day One Edition, it has a code for the re-mastered first game.
