After watching this film on VHS over a decade now, seeing the CGI in 4k makes it stand out more as the quality has increased for the better. For grain haters, you may want to stay from this one but the steelbook is awesome!

This is a Steelbook I nearly did not order, as I love the front cover of the new 4K release. I’m glad I did order though, because that art is used on the back. This is also one of the higher quality matte finish steelbooks which has spot gloss in specific areas, looks incredibly nice!

Older films, like Godzilla (1998) don’t usually benefit much from a 4K upgrade, so, I typically don’t pay extra over a comparable Blu-Ray copy. In this case, I made exception since I did not already have this film in my library. The bonus was that it’s on a Limited Edition SteelBook.

For a movie that was made in the 90's, this flick has some major improvements with picture and sound. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack rumbled through out the movie and the HDR was colorful and clear.

I had low expectations for this one due to all the bad reviews online. I actually enjoyed the movie. The audio and video quality were great too,

To me I found this the best of the Godzilla franchise!! Great story and lots of action plus some comedy thrown in! But also gives the story some heart as you know the creature is just an animal you tend to feel something for it in the ending. No spoilers..

this films has be shunned for years and rejected its not a Godzilla movie that is true but what it is a disaster film with a giant lizard once you accept that the film is a fun romp through the city

4K does add a new dimension to the movie experience. It they were not expensive I would buy all movies on a 4K format. Godzilla has always been a male beast but due to perhaps political correctness or the unnecessary need for inclusion Godzilla turns out to be a mother. Godzilla is a stegosaurs and mutated due to radiation exposure and reanimated. Godzilla does not eat. Instead he/she absorbs atomic energy so it destroy nuclear power plans and anything that emits radiation. Any Godzilla move is worth watching just for laughs.

Not my favorite Godzilla movie but nice to have on 4k and upgrade my collection. I did watch it the other night and I enjoyed it more than I did last time I watched it. 4k + nostalgia.

I really think this is an underrated move. Much like the new Godzilla in theaters now, it's a really fun popcorn flick with some great special effects. The exclusive steelbook packaging is also attractive and the film looks great in 4K. Recommended.

Ok, fun movie great disk for your home theater. Some light grain on some shots, others are great. Sound is excellent.

Loved the movie back in the 90s definitely a nostalgic movie! The movie was positively reviewed but I love it! The 4K is pretty good for being 20 years old. The steelbook is sweet! Definitely get this if you like the movie or want some nostalgia!

I enjoyed watching this move very much. I thought the special effects were great. I also enjoyed the theme of the movie and I thought the acting was great. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys science fiction type movies.

This movie was my childhood. I remember watching the first trailer to actually going to see it in theaters. It’s not a great film and has MANY issues but it’s incredibly fun. I would recommend it for a night of thoughtless action and thrills.

Even though old, this movie is great, the old Godzilla is a bit too reptile he kind of looks funny but it's a great addition to my collection as the movie is entertaining, sounds good and I did not found any granulation on the image.

The CGI Effects in 4K for the Godzilla film from 1998 look fantastic. I have Godzilla King of the Monsters on preorder and I cannot wait to see that film in 4K. But the 1998 Godzilla film in 4K is worth getting. highly recommended!!!

Though some would say this is one of the worse in the Godzilla franchise, watching this again in Ultra HighDeff made me appreciate it the second time around then the first.

Godzilla is a great movie to add to your DVD or Bluray movie collection, and it's a great movie for the whole entire family to watch one of the best, Godzilla has been around for along time he is a Legend king of the monsters.

This movie is not as bad as everyone says it is, it’s got some really good action scenes in it. My only complaint would be Godzilla does not look like any Godzilla before or after this movie he kinda looks like an iguana.

We had this one on Blu-ray & decided to get it in 4K. It has been awhile since we last watched it. I don’t think they ment for it to be funny, but it was. Not the best Godzilla movie. But if you want a laugh, get it.
