I bought this as a gift for my parents recently. They has wanted to see this movie since Oscar season when it was heavily nominated and talked about. From their account, it was a solid movie that kept them hooked throughout. They definitely recommended that I watch it, but they thought it was a little disappointing compared to the hype (thus 4/5 stars).

One of the best movies of 2014. Great casting, followed up with excellent acting. Intelligent, suspenseful, seductive, and sometimes funny. If you have or have not read the book it doesn't matter, I saw it in theaters, but I had to add it to my collection. You should too.

Man, this movie is great! I've read the book, and I can say that I almost prefer the movie. Ben Affleck is incredible, and Rosamund Pike is terrifyingly perfect. WATCH THIS MOVIE RIGHT NOW. Or order it, then wait 2-5 business days to arrive, the WATCH THIS MOVIE.

This movie is "GONE GOOD". Ben Afleck was fantastic. And just when you think it can't get any better BAM it gets great. Tyler Perry rocked as well. I would watch this over and over again. Til' death do us part!

This movie was one of those films that didn't advertise much in theathers so going in to it you did not know what to expect from it and I must say it was sick and twisted but that is david finchers style of directing if you see The girl with the dragon tattoo overall great movie lots of twists and turns but not to watch with kids around just a heads up

The story will keep you on the edge and you want to watch until the very end. It's a fact. The acting is incredible and the film is beautifully shot. Such an amazing movie unfortunately not much special feature on the bluray. Only one, director's commentary.

A good thriller. I've heard a lot about this movie and after watching this I have to say it's good. I gave it 4 out of 5 cause the very first 30 minutes or so is good then it continues to drag a bit. I was starting to lose interest, but after the first hour it picked back up and had my Full attention. I would recommend this movie.

I read the book before seeing the movie and I thought it was phenomenal. The book was fantastic and I was so pleasantly surprised by how well done the movie turned out. It's hard to enjoy a movie as much as the book, but I thought they did an excellent job.

A very well written, directed, movie. Very entertaining and suspenseful. Acting was great, even Ben Afleck was good for a change. Soundtrack was wonderful by Trent Reznor. If you have not watched this, do so, worth the time!

You don't think it's going to be how it's going to be. It's kind of like the movie Split where you just have all of these shock factors going on, and you start thinking about how there are actually people out there that thought this up...

As a lover of the original novel, I had low expectations as to how good the movie would be. I find that they rarely live up to the source material. This adaptation was very faithful. Some scenes and dialogue were obviously changed & imo made Nick less of an a-hole. Rosamund Pike was awesome. Definitely recommend this but to read the book, as well!

Just about any movie directed by David Fincher is worth a good view, and this Blu ray release has stunning picture and sound for home viewing. It comes with a collector's book from a faux collection mentioned in the movie, and the disc contains an audio commentary. Other than that, you're not getting anything as far as insight in to the making of.

I enjoyed this movie. Has Ben Affleck in it for starters. Makes you think about those closest to you, are they what they appear to be or something/ someone altogether different.

Another amazing David Fincher classic. No one does book to movie adaptations like him, especially since the book author is also the screenwriter. Amazing performances from the entire cast which make you surprisingly want to see more Tyler Perry. Highly recommend.

I did not read the book before watching the film. On it's own I felt like the film was good. There are no victims in this story. I liked the performances of Carrie Coon and Tyler Perry. I was just as interested in the beginning of the story as the ending. I wish there were more bonus features available but a good film is what you're buying here.

This movie was about a crazy wife who punished her husbands and past friends in all kinds of ways. I don't know that I would watch it again because I was so mad at the way she treated and tricked everyone. It is a good movie if you want to have a good nightmare.

Having first watching this movie on Hulu, I was blown away with this movie. Great individual performances by lead actors. Had to buy this movie... wish there was a 4K release!

I had not read the book before seeing this movie so everything came as unexpected. Due to the thrilling nature of this movie with all of its twists and turns, I'm going to have to read the book now to get more of this gripping story. Highly recommend this movie!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. There was a great twist and the suspense was maintained from start to finish. I could see the ending causing some trouble for some, but I thought it worked well and left me feeling a bit even more uneasy about everything I watched. The acting was great and any opportunity to see NPH on screen is great!

Gone Girl has got to be one of the most nerve racking movies I have ever seen, but it was a great film to watch. Ben Affleck does a great job acting in this movie. Anyone looking to watch a film filled with suspense, you have your all in one package right here.
