Great film Robin Williams does amazing in the role.

I didn't know what to expect from this film, and after watching it, I found myself filled with many different emotions. Excellent writing, great acting, and the combination of comedy and drama helps the film flow so seamlessly. Great purchase.

I Have Never Watched Good Will Hunting Until After Robin Williams Past Away . I Heard From Other People That It Was A Good Movie So I Went To Best Buy To See If They Had It And They Did . I Sat Down And Watched The Movie And I Really Liked It ! I Think That It's One Of Robin Williams Greatest Films ! I Can't Believe The Matt Damon Helped Writing The Story . RIP Robin Williams ! The Movie World Will Miss Your Great Acting Skills !

Once in a long while we are graced with a film that is not only emotional and superbly written, acted, directed, etc., but also put a then unknown Matt Damon in the lead role and comedian Robin Williams as Damon's therapist. Both are excellent to watch as they work out their problems with each other and the world around them.

For those too young to remember "Good Morning Vietnam," "Good Will Hunting" is what introduced us to Robin Williams: Serious Actor. The man had chops beyond what anyone ever expected, and this will forever be remembered as one of the greatest's most iconic roles. The screenplay, which won Matt Damon and Ben Affleck an Academy Award, was rightfully loved by critics and fans alike. They don't make enough like this one.

A brilliant and captivating movie. Matt Damon's role as Will Hunting. an incredibly talented individual chained to his past and confined only to himself. is exceptionally well portrayed. Robin Williams, as the "last chance" therapist is also incredibly well done. The story line follows a personal realization and reconstruction that has all the right elements to make an exceptionally good movie.

I stumbled upon Good Will Hunting several years ago, and since then it has become one of my favorite movies. Robin Williams is spectacular, as is the rest of the cast, and the story always moves me. I had already purchased this on DVD, but I am happy to own it on Blu-ray where the overall quality is superior.

If you haven't seen this early work of the men who would grow up to be Jason Bourne and one of Hollywood's hottest directors, then check this one out. A great film about friendship, facing responsibility, and tragedy survived but not necessarily bested. Damon and Affleck won Oscars for screenwriting, and Robin Williams for Best Supporting Actor for the film, one that sometimes seems a little dated but still remains an uplifting story. The bluray presentation is fairly good given the age and budget on the film--an upgrade from the DVD, but not a reference quality one. Still, highly recommended for the writing and acting in this great example of a smallish film that is a success in most every way.

I can see why this put Matt and ben on the map. still suspect if they actually wrote this script though since you haven't seen anything remotely as good as this afterwards. so to whoever wrote this if it was them, great job with the story and well developed

In my opinion, Good Will Hunting is a classic movie. The writing and direction have stood the test of time. As have Matt Damon and Robin Williams performances. The cherry on top is that I found in a bargain bin for less than $8. At that price, buying this movie is a no brainer.

After the untimely death of Robin Williams, I started looking for his various (and varied) movies on DVD. I knew this one was great (it is) and gracious, and without giving it away, a heart thumper. This one is good enough to own, and not just wait for late night movies on TV.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon really hit a home run on this film. Watching the extras included with this disk showed me what really went into making this movie, and it only makes it that much better. If this movie doesn't give you chills and inspire you to reach inside yourself for something more, I feel bad for you. It doesn't get much better than this.

Another great movie with the late Robin Williams. Williams played a lot of different roles throughout his career, but I would say his best performances were his educator roles - Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting. Both earned him an Oscar nomination; Good Will Hunting earned him the win. A great addition to any home movie collection.

Boston friends trying to survive in economic times. Damon as a troubled youth who is helped by a professor at school (the late Robin Williams, who won oscar for his performance. Affleck character is construction worker guiding Damon character through life. Must see movie. Oscar for directing and for R Williams performance.

I'm not one for movies with lots of dialogue and little humor or action. But this one kept my attention the entire time. I've heard about it for years but it's as good as advertised! I don't like Robin Williams or particularly care for Matt Damon but I don't doubt this is some of their best work period!

A MOVIE THAT BRINGS YOU ALONG FOR THE RIDE,AND DEVELOPS ITS CHARACTERS AND PLOT, IS TRULY INSPIRATIONAL. I LIKED THE LOW KEY APPROACH THAT SEEMS TO DRAW YOU IN TO THE STORYLINE. ROBIN WILLIAMS GIVES US A TRUE VISION OF WHAT A MENTOR CAN DO FOR SOMEONE TROUBLED.MATT DAMON & BEN AFFLACK WERE GREAT.

What more is there to say when it comes to Good Will Hunting? If you are a fan, and in light of the passing of Robin Williams, this is almost a required film to own. If not for Williams scene-stealing performance, but to see the origin stories of both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

There's not much to say that hasn't already been said but this Blu-ray disc has a decent enough transfer from the late 90's. This film still holds up however.

I remember seeing this like 10 years ago. Pieces of it still stuck in my mind. I love Matt Damon. He is so young in this one. I had also seen the Martian the same week and he has grown a lot as an actor. I believe this movie still would have won the awards if it had come out today.

This movie is an Old favorite of mine. When it was released the times were ripe for such introspection and sensitivity. Perhaps the subject matter is cliche nowadays. I don't know what young people think now. The actors were top notch, engaging, and so believable, you want to join in now and then.
