I’ve been using Google Nest speakers for a while now, already had two, and I just purchased a third so I can have one in every room. The sound quality is crisp and clear, with surprisingly rich bass for its size. The voice recognition is spot-on, even when music is playing, and it syncs seamlessly with the rest of my Google Home setup.
Having them in multiple rooms is a game-changer — I can play music throughout the house, control smart devices from anywhere, and even use them as an intercom to call the family for dinner. The design is sleek and blends perfectly with home decor.
If you’re looking for a reliable, great-sounding, and truly smart home assistant, the Google Nest speaker is an easy recommendation

I'll start by saying that I received my first Google Nest Audio soaker as a gift, and I didn't expect much more than a glorified "Hey Google" speaker. After using it for a couple of months now, I gotta say... I love it. So much so that I purchased a second one! The Google Nest Audio smart speaker is a great choice for anyone seeking a high-quality smart home experience. It's incredibly easy to use, with a straightforward setup process and simple controls. The speaker is fast and responsive, delivering quick results for voice commands. Its seamless integration with Google Assistant and other smart devices makes controlling your home effortless, whether you're adjusting lights, playing music, or getting updates. A perfect blend of convenience and performance! The sound quality or if the box is good; not great, but still good, which is better than I expected. Voices come through clear and crisp, sounding very natural, while other elements in music and media are just slightly less impressive. I must point out that the bass and treble can be adjusted to your liking, which can greatly increase your listening experience. ***In my case, I ended up getting two of these after hearing that pairing two Google Nest Audio speakers together for stereo sound, greatly improves music and media, and I have to say that I find that to be completely true!

Love this speaker. Sound is amazing, beautiful minimal design. It gets pretty loud and will surprise you with the clarity and pure volume. Price point can't be beat. The only drawback is that if you want to pair to your TV, it takes some tinkering. Aside from that, I cannot think of any complaints. Great job Google.

This speaker sounds great! HAve one in my garage and one in my Master Bathroom and it is plenty loud to fill both sound spaces. Google works as you'd expect. Setup was also as you'd expect. Can use multiple at the same time for multi room audio, or you can use one at a time. Alternatively you can have each one playing it's own thing. Would buy again.

We purchased 2 of these to add to our Google Home Network. We have these in our living room. You can pair them together as stereo speakers however we have ours placed in two different locations.
Pros:
- Sleek appearance
- Solid feel
- Easy to use controls
- Nice sound
Cons:
- Had to exchange one that kept dropping from Wifi network even after factory reset.
We mainly use them for full house music listening but, also utilize the mics for Home commands!
You can turn the mic on or off on the devices as well as pause the music or increase/decrease the volumes all on the device which is nice.
They pair rather effortlessly with the intuitive setup process in the Home app but it could be a little more streamlined.
We had to exchange one as it kept dropping from the wifi network. Thankfully this happened during the extended holiday return period!
These aren't a must have but if you enjoy music and use voice commands a lot for your Google Home network it is a great addition!

The display model sold me on this. It is a replacement for my basic, first gen Google Home in the bedroom. I bought two to enable the stereo function and it works amazingly. Great audio quality. Excellent response and using two in stereo configuration (I have one on each nightstand; bedside) give you great channel separation which really wakes up music and even ambient audio sleep tracks.
Setting up was easy as well, especially if you have your Home app labeled properly. We have 7 best speakers and two Nest screens.
The down sides: Volume. They play clear and play clean but they do not play that loud. They max out pretty low which is odd. They almost seem like there is some sort of volume limiter on or something. The speakers are relatively heavy and robust, indicative of a big driver/amp but small speakers have put out more sound. Also, the bass response, while accurate is does not hit that hard especially given the size of the driver.
It would be nice to be able to use these as TV audio speakers when using the Google TV cast strip. (Hint, hint, Google. If you're monitoring this...)
Overall, these are great additions to the room, especially for the money.
Hi there GadgetGuru, we're glad to hear that you liked the audio quality of Nest Audio, and we'd like to thank you for using our Google Nest products.
We understand that each person will have their own preference when it comes to audio quality. That's why we've made it possible to change the sound settings for Nest Audio. You may want to try the following steps: - Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as Nest Audio. - Open the Google Home app. - Tap the device you want to adjust and then Settings and then Audio and then Equalizer. - Adjust Bass and Treble level.

Best Nest Audio to date!

This is by far the best Nest Audio speaker to date. Why? It is larger, heavier, and provides a much richer sound. Probably due to the weight of the magnet, etc. Plus, you can pair two of these together and get stereo. If you are into Home Automation, this version of the Nest Audio acts as a WiFi Matter hub. So, go ahead, buy it! And, if you can get it on sale, like I did, even better.

We used to struggle with the Nest MIni hearing us when the music was playing above 50% volume, but this hears us much easier so we’re not having to scream from 20 feet away to turn down the volume. Sound output is also much better. The low end has the biggest increase in sound quality compared to the mini. For $50 it was definitely worth the upgrade.

The sound quality is not the issue with these. They are exactly what youd expect. Very clear, well designed drivers. Assistant integration is always helpful. Casting audio is a great feature. But, that all changes when you try to pair them in Google Home. They completely lose their minds. Disappear from your account, lose wifi connection, split audio, its endless. If the software was where it should he, they would be perfect. Definitely slip untik Gen2.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Nest Audio, Victor. We’re glad you’re happy with the sound quality and being able to cast audio. That said, we hear your concerns with pairing multiple devices together. Here’s steps to make sure pairing goes as smoothly as possible:
1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Google Nest or Home speaker. 2. Open the Google Home app. 3. Tap Devices. 4. Touch and hold one of the speakers you want to pair. 5. Tap Settings > Audio > Stereo pair > Next. 6. Select 2 devices you'd like to pair > Next. 7. The lights on one of the speakers should start to flash white. Tap Left or Right to match the location of the speaker that blinks > Next. 8. Under "Where is your pair?" choose a room for the stereo pair > Next. 9. Create a name for your stereo pair > Next > Done.

The sound quality on these are really good, especially compared to the minis we're switching from. The setup was simple and smooth, thankfully. Make Sure you use wall anchors or drill into studs; these sucker are weighty!

The audio coming out of these far surpasses the nest mini speakers in both clarity and volume. They're perfect for my parents who just want an easy speaker pair they can tell to play whatever music on pandora and listen away. I like the aesthetic too, as they blend into a room with ease.
I know there was a stink raised by Sonos about pairing speakers, but I just reset and re-paired these recently with the google home app without issue. The only annoyance is they sometimes pause the music without warning or clear reason.
Hi BuiltTough, thanks for sharing your feedback with us about the Nest Audio, and we're sorry to learn of your annoying experience that they sometimes pause the music without warning or clear reason.
Your Nest Audio could be having trouble connecting to Google. We suggest trying these simple steps below that may improve your music experience: - Check your Wi-Fi network for possible congestion. Disconnecting some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space. - Check the distance between the Nest Audio and your router. Ensure that it is within a line of sight from your router. - Check for wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or appliances and devices nearby. - Restart Nest speaker and router to refresh the connection. - Reset your Nest speaker. On the back of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.
If the speaker still has performance issues after trying the simple steps above, we’d be more than happy to guide you with further troubleshooting and investigation here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

The speakers are big and sounds better but for the purpose of a smart speaker frequently disconnects and need to be paired again.. hope they fix it via OTA update..

Easy to set up and connect with wi-fi once the Google Home App is downloaded to your phone. Easily paired with another that is the same model to create a stereo pair. Has a little more bass and a better full bodied sound than the smaller Nest Mini. Responds to voice commands well and you can adjust the sensitivity level for voice command on the phone app. Love the neutral Chalk color of these speakers as they blend in well with my home interior. Love that these Nest Speakers are now compatible with Apple Music. This was a plus for me. Well worth the price in my opinion.

The speakers by themselves are an outstanding product. I was mostly surprised by the sheer weight. They feel very high quality, they look excellent and the sound quality is great. They outperform in all of the advertised areas and integrate very well in my Google smart home. My only complaint is that I purchased two of these to use as a speaker pair for an older common area tv that I use the latest Chromecast with Google TV on. I read an article somewhere that Google was working on a direct integration between these speakers and the Chromecast that would allow them to be used as the default audio device and eliminate audio delay. Unfortunately, this hasn't happened yet and it seems the articles were based on unreleased promotional material. As it stands now, I can Bluetooth pair the speakers to the Chromecast but the audio delay with video makes them unusable for this purpose. My fault for expecting unreleased features from Google but this would really be a nice feature to have and I'm not alone in this request.

The Google Nest Audio is a great product for the price. The sound quality is clear and great for music, podcasts, or just asking questions. It is a big large, but the color options can allow it to fit into most areas. It was easy to set up. I love using this in my living room for Google Assistant or listening to music. I have it linked to my record player for bluetooth playing as well and it's seamless!
