I bought this for fun and to add a little help for tasks like turning on/off lights and my tv because sometimes I can’t find my remote so I use it if I quickly need to lower my tv volume. Pretty simple to use.

I purchased Google Home for my daughter, and it has quickly become an indispensable tool in our home. As an upgrade to the original Google Home, this is a winner, with a lower list price to boot. It looks like, well, a speaker (how's that for a curve ball from Google?) It's still the same minimalist interface as the home -- lights in front and touch sensitive area on the top for adjusting volume or starting and stopping music playing. The sound is an upgrade from the original Home and is a lot more full. These can be paired, so two speakers can play stereo sound. They are louder than the original Google Home and have a more full-range sound (from low frequencies to high), although the bass isn't going to knock your socks off. During the holidays they were sold in pairs with a discount, and that's a pretty good way to set them up, as a pair. You manage the speaker through the Home application, just like all the other Home / Nest products. So if you're already using Home / Nest products, this is a super-easy upgrade. If it's your first smart speaker, this is a good way to start.

I bought a pair. They have great sound...but Google isn't great with programming. For instance, last night, they wouldn't stop playing music. "Hey Google, stop music." response..."sure, stopping music on Nest Pair." Music doesn't stop...from voice commands, from Google Home app, from speakers. Had to ask someone with an Apple phone to shut it down. Google, why are you so bad at this?

Bought this to keep in gazebo. Sound is fantastic and I can tuck it up in the roof.

Very easy to set up and connect with your Google Home app. Sound quality is solid, especially if you connect multiple.

Love this speaker. I feel that it has great sound quality for the price point. This is far better than the google mini. I do wish Google would come out with something to replace the Google Max Home. I know the price point was a little more than other and sales were not as good compared to other products, but the bass in the Google Home Max was great.

Speaker sounds great. Sounds better than the hub max. Way better. Now also has gemini. Got this on a drop for 40 bucks. You cant beat that.

Great sound, easy and fast setup. Speaker groups works way better than Alexa. No sound drop outs like I was getting with Echo and finally I can do Youtube Music to speaker groups! Looks sleek and matches home décor well.

Has great connectivity. I've found if you are looking for a smart speaker that has quality sound without breaking the bank, and are not beholden to the amazon specific offerings (like adding things to an amazon shopping list), this is preferable for me. It also uses better natural language in my opinion than the other. Also if you're like me and like to ask your smart speaker random questions, I find the google assistant provides me more comprehensive answers.

This speaker is east to use. Whether you use an android or an iPhone, the connection has never been an issue for me. It’s not as clear as a homepod but still sounds great!

I really enjoy the speaker and got it on sale which (the sale price deserves 5 stars). The sound quality is rich & obviously it has the smart features if your home is integrated for them. The only downside is being unable to set alarms to music (Spotify, Apple Music, etc). When prompted it says the option is no longer available. Still would purchase again.
