The cameras have worked as advertised and only complaint is battery life seems short.

I purchased one and loved it so I ended up purchasing a double set. We are considering purchasing another set. We didn't purchase the service to continously record but we do get notified for any movement and we can save the recording. It only keeps 3 hrs then deletes.

The color and sound are good. However it does not have a large range of motion so we could not see our entire yard. It kept going into night mode during the day.

Nest Cam (battery) has a 130° diagonal field of view. To get the camera view you want, you have to adjust the camera’s position by hand. Use the Home app to check the camera’s view so you can adjust the position from the mounting plate if you need to. Also, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. And you can view both your old and new Nest Cams together in the Home app. We request for your patience as we’re working on a seamless solution to create a better user experience. Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app.

There are some compute limitations on some versions of Chromecast that do not allow us to support this yet, but we’re aiming to add support as soon as possible as the team continuously evaluates additional features. Love Google camera system! Im able to review past events with greatesolution. I mostly enjoy the app control and user friendliness. I currently own 3 cameras and 1 doorbell for my home as well as 4 cameras and 1 doorbell that are owned by in-laws. Highly recommend!

Google changed this product and it stinks now. It doesn’t go through the Nest app anymore. You have to use the Google Home app and the phone gets very hot with that running in the background my personal opinion is that Google will probably be selling it off.

Our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell along with other smart home devices in the Home app. Although the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users like you with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Also, using the Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools and with seamless integration with other Google devices. A single place to set up, manage, automate, and control your home, including devices from other brands.
Meanwhile, we recommend trying the steps below that can clear Home app issues: - Make sure you’re using the most current version of the Home app on your phone or tablet. - Make sure that your phone is up to date, with the correct Date & Time settings. - Confirm that the Home app has permissions to use your phone's location. - Close other apps running in the background. - Restart your phone.
