The installation process is easy and it looks really good on your wall once installed. Navigation and menus are straight forward and simple. My problem with this gen 4 model is it doesn’t sync with the nest app and only google home. If you have more than 1 nest thermostat like I do and it’s gen 3 and under prepare to ditch the nest app. Another is if you’re an Apple user like I am it, setting it up with Apple home is a pain and gives you a lot of errors. It’s possible to do it but it’s not easy. The different fixes for this can be found on Reddit. If all you need is Google home than this is the best product for you.

Wife and I wanted to get smart thermostat with a temp sensor for our baby room and this is perfect so that we can keep information and the babies room comfortable.

Needed to replace an earlier generation Nest thermostat. Since I already have several other Nest/Google devices, this was my first choice. I am very happy with the update. The replacement install took literally less than 10 minutes. Setup was very simple as all I had to do was connect to wireless and it was pretty much done. That being because I was replacing an earlier gen of the same device. Feature set is really very good. I usually leave it on heat/cool all year round. Took a couple of weeks for the "learning" part to kick in but once it started to get my routine down it does really well. Don't have to adjust it which was the point to begin with. Works well with the Google home app. Sets itself to Eco mode when it senses no one is home. Looks are fantastic. Great design without being too busy. No complaints. I would recommend this to someone.

Setup was super fast. The polished black looks amazing on the wall, and the extra sensor totally fixed the hot spots in our bedroom. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Works well but installation does require a "C" wire, or google's optional C wire adapter kit which I needed (and which google provided free of charge). I really like the look of the thermostat and the changing seasonal graphics, but I wish there was an option for an "always on" display. The unit does wake up when it detects motion nearby, but it most instances, like while sitting on a chair or the couch, the unit remains dark. I'd like to be able to glance over and see the temp without needing to get up or check the app. The thermostat works well with the google home app and there are lots of features and options to review and customize engery use. The device also has a learning mode which suggests temp adjustments based on historical usage and adjustments. What I like most however is the ability to control temp through the app, for example being able to pre-cool or heat the house on return from vacation or a long day out.

Works greats. Easy to control from home or the phone. 2 stage heating works just need to mess with setting. Easy installing

Very easy to install! Works very well and a lot better than the previous thermostat I had! Highly Recommend!

Much easier to install than anticipated when following the online guide. Adapts well to my schedule and seems to be limiting the amount of unit run time while still maintaining preferred temperature, all on its own.

Honestly, this thing is awesome. The setup was stupid easy — the app basically does all the work for you. The polished black look is super clean and gives my wall that modern vibe. The temp sensor that comes with it is a game-changer. I dropped it in my bedroom and now it actually stays the perfect temp at night. It learns my routine, saves energy, and I can tweak everything from my phone or just tell Google to handle it. If you’re on the fence — just get it. Worth every penny.

Not too hard to install. Very beautiful thermostat. Noticed efficiency savings right away. Love being able to control it from my phone

The Google Nest Thermostat is a sleek, smart addition to any home. Its modern design blends seamlessly with most interiors, while the intuitive interface makes temperature control effortless. Installation is straightforward, and the device quickly integrates with Google Home for voice commands. The energy-saving features are impressive, including automatic scheduling and Eco Mode, which help reduce utility bills. The thermostat learns your preferences over time, adjusting temperatures accordingly. Overall, it’s a great choice for those looking to upgrade to a smart, energy-efficient thermostat.

Honestly, upgrading to the 4th Gen Nest was worth every penny. The borderless display pops way more than the older models, making it super easy to read from across the room. Installation took maybe 15 minutes, and pairing it with the included temperature sensor completely fixed the hot spot in our upstairs bedroom. The real win has been on the energy bills, though. Setting up the smart scheduling and auto-away features cut down our AC usage noticeably during the brutal summer heat peaks. The app gives clear feedback on energy savings, so you're not guessing whether your settings are actually making a difference. If you want a thermostat that looks great, handles multi-room temps seamlessly, and keeps your summer cooling costs from spiraling, this one is an absolute slam dunk.

This thing is a beauty! I have this setup with Apple HomeKit and Google Home. It is very useful when I am out of the house and forget to turn off or lower the thermostat. It is working as it is designed to do. I haven't used the sensor just yet. Would recommend to anybody wanting a smart thermostat

Super easy to setup and easy to use! Looks amazing and has a beautiful display

[Employee of bestbuy] Install was much easier than I expected. Temp sensor was very useful in preventing over-heating my upstairs bedroom when the downstairs was cold!

Full control by the phone app. Turn on and off automatic when you arrive and left home. Program all week of time working. Inteligent sensor and digital screem. Easy to setup with oil furnace ,gas and air central ac. Good tracking of you energy with you company , nice rebate. Ect

[Employee of bestbuy] Works extremely well. Easy to install and the kit is very complete. No issues so far and also it is easy to use.

I recently purchased this because the 3rd generation nest was getting long in the tooth. The design is extremely elegent and the operation is very nice. This is a very worthy upgrade to an already great product. Im glad Google offers a Gold version as it goes extremely well with beige/tan/sandy wall colors. I highly recomend this product.

I have had several iterations of nest thermostats, but this one is way ahead of the curve. I love that it comes with the sensor (since our thermostat is located in a very drafty location), and the programmability of the display. Sleek, modern, and gorgeous installation on the wall.

This one replaced the old outdated model for all who owned it & were forced to upgrade. However it was easy to install and connect. the scheduling of it is a little spotty but the added sensor is great to have in another room. I have two. One for home and the other is a VRBO that I'm able to monitor from afar.
