Great product, easy to install and use. The night light is a great feature. No more false alerts from a steaming shower and gives a warning before an alert.

I love my Nest Protects. I just moved and replaced all of the existing smoke alarms with Nest Protect. I had them in my old house and wasn't sure if I was going to put them into my new house until I got woken up at 3:00AM by a faulty smoke alarm setting off all the others in the house. This reminded how much I appreciate the Nest Protect monitoring capabilities and ease of self-testing. While the end result of monitoring for smoke and carbon monoxide might be the same, the ease of use and remote monitoring capabilities that it provides make it well worth it.

Works great, easy to install and set up. Great to have the it light up at night.

Had it about a month. So far very pleased. Easy to install. I hope the batteries last as long as described.

This is the smoke alarm that give me piece of mind. We do a lot of camping and are away from the house a lot and with this, i i always get notified if there is an issue in my house. If they weren't so dang expensive i would replace all of my smoke detectors with these. As it stands i only have 1, but plan to get at least 3 more so that i have at least 1 on each floor of my house. I do however highly recommend these, and it is great in the winter that they also can cut off my furnace in the event of a CO2 leak since i have a nest thermostat as well.

Again another nest product which is easy to install. Excellent product but still feel it is little pricey.

I purchased two of these (for now), one up stairs and one down stairs. They are excellent products, work seamlessly together, and tie into your Nest app along with your thermostat. I smoked up the kitchen the other day, the light illuminated on the Nest Protect and said "heads up, there's smoke, the alarm may sound, the alarm is loud." I cleared the smoke before the alarm went off. You also receive alerts in the app as well as a history and status of the alarms. Get the hard wired ones, they are easy to install. I'm a professional firefighter and I highly recommend these.

Love it! Mine are hardwired. It checks itself. It detects CO2, smoke, and fire. It learns, which is helpful in a kitchen. I can control it from an app, and get notifications if something happens when I am away from home! Worth ever penny!

Very high quality product. Tech support is great. Easy setup and even has a night light built in. Bought the wired version. Cant wait to set up more Nest products.

After waddling for a long time, I purchased two of these for our home. They obviously compliment the Nest thermostat and we really like the ability to monitor things from our phones. Turns out that one of our favorite features is the night light. I give this 4/5 stars simply because it is quite expensive.

I've been updating my home with smart technology, when it seems a good fit, and these are great. The night light is a great touch and testing is easy.

Bought the 3 pack of the wired nest protects. We put one in our basement, one on our main floor and one on the 2nd floor. They were very easy to install. I'm not a handyman by any means but after watching some YouTube DIY videos on these, I was able to install with no issues. I've had them installed for 2 weeks and have had no issues. I can check them through the app which is very convenient. I also like how it easily connects with my nest thermostat so that the system runs together and allows me to keep track of everything.

This is what it is. A smoke detector. I like the night light function and it looks nicer than any other smoke detector. Was easy to set up.

I am very happy with my purchase. Very easy to install. I like how I have the capability to see warnings on my phone, when I am not home. I have a few others that I purchased in that past, and I do like that they have the capability to be connected to each other. One alarm goes off, it will announce through the others telling you where the warning is coming from. The motion light option turning on, if it was installed in a dark area, is a great option as well.

Smart smoke alarms - these are pretty pricey, but you get a lot more out of them. Having nest app connectivity means you know the status of your smoke alarm all the time without having to find a ladder to manually test it. The pathlight feature (basically a motion sensing night light) is actually pretty nice, which helps since otherwise you're paying $100+ in hopes of never having to hear the alarm go off.

Works great and love the nightlight!! The installation is easy as long as you have the right model.

All of my smoke detectors were NOT interconnected. about 1/2 are connected on one circuit and 1/2 on another circuit. This creates an issue where alarm will NOT sound throughout the house in case of a fire. To fix it would have cost > 1500. Buying Nests to replace these old smoke detectors resolved the problem and all are now interconnected. Adding other features like CO monitor, ability to silence alarm when my wife is cooking :), and lighted pathways in hallways make this a great buy for my circumstances.

I absolutely love this product. It doesn't go off innecessarily but is easy to reset. I also enjoy having the nightlight and having it connected to my phone!
