I got this tablet for Christmas one year. I have had it in a leather case, and have dropped it on more then one occasion inside. However, 2 years later, it finally dropped on the sidewalk and it cracked. Ii went immediately to best Buy and replaced it. They said if I had had the extended warranty, I probably would've gotten another one free. Alas, didn't have it, but still bought another one just like it. I love its convenience, and ease of use. Too bad the battery dies before I want it to.It lasts just as long as any other tablet, but I just need to remember to turn it off when I'm not using it for long periods of time.

I was unsure of which tablet to get until I saw a friend at work wit this one. I was really impressed. Its fast and easy to use. Also, it has tons of space so it won't get bogged down.

Love this tablet for its build quality and set of features. Fast performance with constant updates from google. I have purchased one for my son and one for myself. The only negative I can give it is that even with 32gb of memory that space goes fast when your downloading HD movies. I would purchase another if I needed one. By the way you can buy a micro usb flash drive to connect to it for extra media storage.

I have his tablet for year now, but it still suits my needs. At the time I bought it, I could've bought an 8 GB Nexus 7 2013, but I chose to go with the older technology with more built-in memory. This is especially important on the Nexus devices, because they don't have a microSD slot. I never have to worry about running out of memory. I mainly use it for watching movies and checking email, and those things work just fine with the older tablets. Although this device is no longer available at Best Buy, If you are a budget conscious consumer, I would recommend evaluating your needs...possibly choosing the tablet with the slower processor (if the device has more built in memory) would work for you as well, unless you need something on the bleeding edge.

After trying two other tablets, this one is wonderful and its Google which means most apps are free. No programs to sign up for! And it has, shock!, a user manual right on the desktop of the device. Imagine that! The picture is beautiful. Fast as lightening and no crankiness about connecting to Wi-Fi. Not so great is the camera but since I never intended to use it for that, I don't mind. Overall, it does everything I want without any hassle!

My son went from a 8 1/2 inch insignia to this and eventhough it is smaller, he loves it even more than the Insignia. It is faster, more durable, and works really great for gaming. My son is always using his tablet to play all his game and this tablet has a quad core processor which makes gaming even more fun and exciting for him. Great product... and Best Buy really stands by there warranties. The Insignia stop working and I brought it back for a trade in and they gave me a full credit for the price I purchases the old tablet for and part of the warranty amount. They really impressed me by doing that. I used that money plus an extra few dollars to purchase the Nexus tablet for my son and he absolutely love it. Thanks, Best Buy for looking out... Thanks...

My son was dying to have a tablet and we didn't want to hand out $400 + for an iPad. We found this tablet on sale and it had 32G of memory too. We'll width the investment and we can just load money on it with google play cards. No credit card needed. Only downside was having to set up a google email address to set up google play.

This is a great tablet for both beginners and experienced users. It features the Android operating system, which is very convenient and easy to use. The screen is high quality. Easy access to Google Play. Easy to read books, listen to music or view movies. Easy to get and read email. many apps available.

I love this tablet. I went from being a PC user to purchasing a Kindle Fire...didn't like it. Took the Kindle back and exchanged for Nexus 7. Very versatile. Can plug into my PC, view and transfer files with ease. Tons of apps to choose from. Great with speed and memory...my hubby's iPhone will buffer during videos so we'll use the tablet to watch videos. Taking pics isn't convenient and the quality of the pics taken isn't great, but that's not my main use for it, so it's fine. All in all, I am very happy with it, especially being that it's my first tablet since using a PC forever! I use it primarily for social networking, games, watching videos, listening to pod-casts and getting emails. Great buy!!

I was in the market for a tablet that I could hold in one hand. This tablet does just that. It is fast, has great screen quality and doesn't come loaded with bloatware. I have downloaded quite a bit of stuff and still have 25 GB of space still available. I also couldn't beat the price point of under $200. If you are in need of a tablet to check email, browse the web, or for just personal entertainment you won't be disappointed.

this is a quality tablet for a great price. the size is perfect for travel as well.

Pictures are crystal clear and camera is easy to use. Video is SUPER whether cartoons or movies the video is terrific. The storage for music, pictures and video is more than adequate for those times when you have no Wi Fi signal. We are in LOVE with this tablet!

Bought the Nexus 7 on clearance,got 32 GB for less than the "newest" model with 8 GB. Works great and does even more than expected!

Bought this tablet for my 8yr old for his birthday. We wanted to get him something of his own because he likes to play games on my Ipad all the time. He was able to navigate through the tablet without problems. There hasn't been any lagging in game play, the screen is crisp, the sound is great and battery life has been awesome. He loves it but the only thing he complains about is that the screen is smaller than the Ipad's...I say...Oh well.

Found I don't really have a need for it. Chromecast was disappointing, I couldn't hook it up in hotels blocked. So the main reason I wanted it, Netflix in hotel, was negated. As far as productivity, I don't use it that way so I might as well just use my kindle fire for googling,maps, email, etc. Has HBO 2 Go but lacks SHO.

Battery life could be a little better. But overall a great tablet

If you're looking for a device in this price range, this is the device for you. I wanted a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, but I wanted Google Play Services (most of my books are through Google). I settled on the Nexus 7 (first gen). For the price you can beat the mixture of specs. Several tabs in this range had nicer screens or performance, but no storage. This is the perfect right in the middle. Great for watching movies/media on the go, excellent e-reader, plays the games I want. Couldn't be happier.

I bought this for my Mom so she could use email, internet and as GPS for driving. As I am used to IOS, it took a little while to get used to the Google OS, but once it was setup, it works well.

I use this tablet, among other things, as my organizer for work. It has everything I need, my calendar, e-mails and I downloaded a free app called evernote to organize my notes and action items. Works great, and looks great, construction appears to be very robust, strong. Only downside is the battery life doesn't seem to last as long as my i-phone for example.

I bought this tablet because I needed something bigger than my phone to read emails & surf the web. It's small enough to put in my lunch box to take to work, too. It's fun to have & very useful! I'm glad I bought this one!
