The camera on this phone is amazing! LOVE this phone!

Although I had issues in ordering this phone from Best Buy, (a lot of angry phone calls from me), this is such an amazing phone. Only dropped it a star because of Best Buy customer service.

I switched to the Pixel 2 XL from an iPhone 6S Plus. I am loving it! It's been a few years since I've tried Android. Wow, what an improvement. It is on par with iOS and much more customizable. This phone is smooth as silk, fast, has an amazing camera, incredible battery, a perfectly placed finger print sensor, amazing warranty, looks awesome in the black/white "Panda" version, and yes... an incredible screen. I put it side by side with my son's Samsung S8 Plus and the screen is much brighter and clearer. It also was quicker loading the same apps and web pages than the S8 Plus. Pay no attention to the reports of blue screen shift. This is way over reported as a problem. I never see it and when I do, the phone is off axis. I never use my phone off axis anyway. Overall, I think that this is a great phone and I am very happy with my decision to purchase it. You'll love it!

This phone is just amazing. I've had some pretty cool phones in the past, this one takes the cake so far. Very satisfied with this phone.

Outside of having to wait for an unknown amount of time to get this phone, it was a good choice and upgrade.

What's in the box? Phone, charger, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, data transfer adapter (to transfer your contacts, photos etc from iPhone to Pixel) SIM card tool and a USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter. It doesn't come with a headphone and I had to buy a few aftermarket USB-C to USB-A cables to connect phone to my PC and other commonly used USB ports. Design: I think Pixel2 XL has a good design. I like the Panda color scheme. But I think iPhoneX is better design wise. Bezels vs Notch: Personally, I don't mind Bezels on Pixel2 XL as compared to the notch on iPhone X which I find a bit annoying. Although I don't like big phones, I chose Pixel2 XL over Pixel2 because of the large Bezels on Pixel2. Display: Awesome. When it was launched 6 months ago, people complained about the blue tint. I don't notice that on my phone. Speakers: It has front facing speakers which delivers better sound than an iPhone speaker. Headphone jack: There is no separate headphone jack (sigh). It comes with a USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter. So when you are charging your phone you can only use a Bluetooth headset. Pixel buds are expensive but it has a cool feature of language translation. Charging: There is no wireless charging option. With the provided fast charger and USB-C cable, you can get about 40% charge in 15 mins. 100% charge takes time (maybe about 2 hours). Performance and UI: I am very happy with the performance. It's pretty fast and responsive. Its UI is clean, easy to use and elegant. It didn't take much time for me to get used to Android after using iOS for about 10 years. Battery: It depends on the type of usage. I mostly browse and sometimes watch Youtube videos (you start from one video to another and next thing you know you just spent an hour or so watching some random videos). 100% charge for me can vary from 8 hours to more than a day. Unlock: Fingerprint sensor is fast and easy to access. Camera: At present, I think it has probably the best smartphone camera which delivers nice portrait and low light pictures, not sure how Galaxy S9 is stacking up against Pixel2 XL. Customization: I think Android offers a lot of customization as compard to iOS. For a user like me it doesn't matter though. Issue(s): I had problem with Bluetooth connectivity. After I did a factory reset, the Bluetooth is working fine. What I like: Google Assistant (hands down this is the best AI assistant), Gboard (let you search and share from the keyboard itself), Google lens (more of a gimmick, but I like it), Active Edge, Camera (as my mom and brother would say what's the point when you don't take/send pictures), Display, UI, Google Search Bar, Google Photos (unlimited upload and storage in original quality until 2020 for Pixel phones), Google Translate (sometimes I just use it for fun, it does a good job for English to Hindi and vice-versa), Android Auto, Widgets, shortcuts on the icon itself and many more. Overall Experience: Based on 3.5 weeks of usage, I am happy with this phone. It's a stock Android Device which means zero bloatware and some of the new features roll out to Pixel first before it becomes available on other Android devices and finally to the iOS eg. Google Lens.

After owning the Nexus 6p, Pixel and now the Pixel 2 XL, I can easily say this is a big step forward! The Camera, Water resistances, Front Facing Speakers, and Android Oreo are enough to sway over most Android Fans or Tech enthusiast, but after just 5-10 minutes with my Pixel 2 XL, I had 2 co-worker switch over from their IPhones 6 and 7 (true story). Now some of the internet overly hyped negative issues do exists, but it's not as widely spread as you would think plus the last 2 updates have fixed most issues. My first Pixel 2 XL had a pretty bad "Blue Shift" issue, but after I exchanged it, I now have one with a perfect screen! And the best part about having a Pixel is dealing with Google's Fantastic Support Team. Any issue and they will gladly exchange it without questions asked for 2 Full Years! This phone is worth the wait and the price!

I've been an Apple fan for many years but have been very disappointed with them recently. I waited until my iPhone 6s was literally draining battery every 45 minutes to take the step to replace it. Decided to go with this phone because I use a lot of Google accounts and because the camera reviews were so excellent. This phone has lived up to every review and expectation that I researched before buying it. I will never go back to an iPhone after using the pixel 2 XL. The most notable difference is the software experience. It's just so much easier to use, was intuitive to learn Android, and has a much slicker interface than iOS. The camera is fantastic and the battery lasts an incredibly long time compared to most of the iPhones I've had in the past. There is the slight issue with this display where when the phone is held on an angle there is a slight blue color cast. I did find this annoying at first. But it is a very small trade-off - and as long as the screen is not super tilted the display is very clear and the color looks great.

Sometimes the microphone does not work((( Maybe defective?

Phone delivery was pushed back but finally arrived. Moment I turned it on and started the setup process, it immediately began to heat up. Reset it, packed it up and returned it to the store. Extremely disappointed.

It's just incredibly smooth and the camera is AMAZING. It might have one lens but don't let other companies fool you into thinking just because they have two they're better. The image processing on the pixel is unmatched and that's why it has the highest rated camera on the market. Just simply incredible.
