Really love this phone!
||Posted .I've only had this phone in hand for a week, but so far it's exceeded my expectations. It's a little too wide for my hand, but bought a couple of different cases to put a Pop Socket on and then bought a Loopy Case, which makes holding and using the phone way easier. The camera is AMAZING and it was really simple to transfer my folders, apps, etc from my old Samsung Galaxy.

WOW Great phone
||Posted .I wanted this phone for a long time before it was announced but when I heard of the problems so I tried the Note 8 which was a good phone but I like google's assistant too much not to try out the Pixel 2 xl. I'm sure glad that I did because it blows my mind how much less garbage comes on it than the Note. The blue tint, okay so this is real but its only noticeable on a white screen so if you lay in bed and watch a plain white screen with your wife than this is a bad phone but if your watching a movie or just YouTube than there is no difference between this display and the note. YouTube does seam to be the only app so far that allows you to stretch the videos edge to edge kind of like Samsungs because of the round corners, Either way though at night you cannot see the black bars anyway because the blacks are so black. I haven't had a problem with screen burn in though if i did google extended the manufacturer warranty for 2 years so I really don't care if it ever does because I will just get a new one. that brings me to the next thing, They made it so you just plug your old phone into this one on start and it brings over everything! Alarms, background, even music, videos and more. Overall, if you want a great phone without the bloatware of Samsung this is a great phone.

One of the best Android's today!
||Posted .The Google Pixel XL 2 is the best android device I have bought so far. A little background is I was an Apple user for over 5 years. Recently with all the iOS changes, I have become uninterested so in November of 2017 I jumped to a Galaxy Note 8 and fell in love with the way android operates. When the Pixel released I was interested in having a direct google android device to jumpstart my Google ecosystem. I will say that in my opinion, the Google direct Oreo software is very nice and better than the Samsung User interface they put on top of androids on the Galaxy devices. I found better functionality with googles commute alerts for time to leave. Camera I found the camera on the device to be amazing both with close-ups and long-range photos. I was able to take about 40 photos in my first few days and only a few didn’t come out to my liking. The photos were sharp and processed the lighting very well. There were a few photos that had weird lines caused by the type of light but have not run into that much. Something that can be fixed with a software update. *Plus with unlimited photo storage from google this only makes the package sweeter as phone storage will always be free of clutter. User Interface The device has been a wonder in the UI of the device. I have found everything on the phone very easily without fuss. You can search the phone and find anything you need in seconds. All the applications are direct google so constant updates are not a worry. The device did not come with any bloatware (5 Star Plus in my book). Battery This device has had a good battery life so far. With heavy usage, any phone can go down quickly but the Pixel handles this very well. With the Fast-charge technology, the Pixel phone does charge up quickly without issue. The only drawback is there is no wireless charging, not a huge disappointment to me as even with my galaxy device I ended up plugging it in most of the time for a faster charge. Overall this phone is a must buy.

Best Smartphone I've Ever Owned!
||Posted .I was a little hesitant and did quite a bit of research before purchasing this phone unlocked. I am amazed by how great this phone performs and feels. I am coming from both an iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8 Plus; this phone blows them both away. It is fast, doesn't require a custom launcher to look good, and the camera is amazing. I haven't noticed any "screen burn-in" and the blue tinting is not as bad as the media makes out. I also recently purchased a Google Pixelbook and it takes it to another level. My Pixel 2 XL instantly tethers its cellular connection to give the Pixelbook access, and I can unlock it with my phone. While this is a Verizon "exclusive", if you buy it outright (unlocked), you can connect it to any of the big 4 providers. I have mine on AT&T and it works great. I just popped the sim in and chatted with them online to update settings for fully functionality. Highly recommended.

Mixed Feeling
||Posted .I'm a long time Samsung Note user. Last one I used was the Note 4. I have very mixed feeling…. I like the fact that I can only keep the apps I want to use. Setting is a lot simpler than Samsung phones. Front speaker is louder than my old Note 4 and easy to listen in the car w/out Bluetooth. I miss Note's ability to use pen, some Samsung's built in gestures and options, such as say "Smile" to take picture. Biggest one I miss is ability to change vibration intensity. Pixel's vibration intensity is so weak, it's hard to tell when the phone is in my pocket. Assistant is nice without bothering with Bixby, but only way to call "Ok Google" makes it hard to use it right if you have Google Home. Both reacts to “Ok Google” at the same time. I ended up using edge button on the phone instead to avoid both being activated at the same time. I’m not sensitive to all the issues reported on this phone, but I experienced speaker making humming noise at time when I play music/audiobook. It is not persistent though. I got this phone with Best Buy & Verizon's $400 discount. I'd recommend the phone at that price. If I had to pay full price, I will probably go with Samsung.

Outstanding hardware and software
||Posted .Pure Android is the only way to go, this is the second Google phone I've owned, the first being the Nexus 6P and this is a significant upgrade in every way possible. Processor is much faster, the camera amazing and I will never buy another phone without a finger print scanner on the back, best feature ever. I have not experienced any burn in issues, the compass is much improved over the Nexus 6P which was quite the issue for me. I've not really used the Google assistant features yet nor the squeeze thing, but it's there. Charges fast, long battery life. My only complaint is the rounded screen edges. This is a feature that needs to die, it makes using a tempered glass screen protector impossible. If that's my only complaint, I suppose we are doing good.

Screen issues overblown
||Posted .If you want a stock android experience with upgrades directly from Google+ this is the phone to buy. Don’t waste your time on the smaller one with a much smaller screen and battery. You will regret it later if you do. Much has been said about the screen issues that this phone supposedly has. It’s a legitimate issue but most people don’t spend their time obsessing over a tiny amount of blue tint or possible screen burn in on the part of the screen you don’t really look at anyway. For what it’s worth I haven’t seen any screen burning since I bought this thing in December.

Q: QuestionWhat do you mean by "Carrier bill credit for 24 Months"??
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It means that they reduce (credit) your bill by an amount for 24 months while you are making payments on the phone. If you decide to pay the phone off early you will not continue to be credited each month. So, when they say you save $100 on the phone it is true only if you make payments over the full 24 month period.

Q: QuestionIs Best Buy's Pixel 2 (Verizon Version) unlocked and ready to use with any carrier?
Asked by Derek.
- A:Answer The short answer is yes, all the pixel 2 "Verizon" models actually are already unlocked for LTE support on any CDMA and GSM carrier. Surprisingly, none of them have Verizon specific software/bloatware :) . The only reason best buy has all Verizon labeled models is because of the affiliation that Verizon and Google have together. Best Buy in general doesn't like to carry expensive/new/popular unlocked models because phone manufactures don't pay them to and would rather make more money by selling the carrier versions (it's not ideal for us but consumers can't do much in terms of buying unlocked models when the phone first comes out in store).

Q: QuestionI pre-ordered the Pixel 2 xl and my reciept says it will be released Oct 19 but I've read that the pixel 2 xl won't be released until Nov 17. So should i expect my pixel 2 xl to ship on Nov 17th?
Asked by Bobby.
- A:Answer I believe released on October 19th and shipped according to your placement in the queue, placing yourself at the expected arrival of Nov 17th would be a realistic expectation.
