    Awesome

So far this phone has met all of my expectations! I was already a Google pixel fan. My previous phone was a Google Pixel 4 so upgrading to the 7A wasn't much of a difference system wise. But the camera is awesome and I'm definitely enjoying the phone. I like that it is more compact and easier to hold than the pixel 7 as well. The 5 zoom option on the back camera is really great for scenery photos

Step backwards from the 5a in most ways

In most ways, this phone is a step backwards, hardware-wise from the Pixel 4a 5G it replaced. The worst parts being the elimination of the headphone jack and moving the rear mounted fingerprint reader below the screen. The nice things about the cut out for the rear screen reader is that it gave you a tactile guide to putting your finger in the right spot, which improved accuracy and meant you could blindly unlock your phone. You can't unlock this phone blindly. By adding the same finger to the unlock settings at least twice and being careful about the position of your hand, the unlock accuracy becomes decent enough that it is still more convenient than using a PIN to unlock. Unfortunately, you simply can't find wired headphone jacks or rear-mounted fingerprint reader in any flagship or upper mid-tier new phones, so even though this phone is a step back from its predecessors, there aren't actually any better alternatives to it either. At least the screen is nicer, though that doesn't make any practical difference in usability.

I upgraded from the Pixel 4a and this is a great match. Not too much bigger, very snappy performance, and a lot more features in the software plus a very nice display and camera. Overall it's pretty feature rich for the price and I'm glad I upgraded.

    Small but powerful

Decided to get the pixel 7a since it had most of the latest features without the high tag. It's fast , easy to use and I really love the smaller size. Easier to fit in my purse or pocket. Only minus is that I noticed that my phone signal is not as strong as it normally is in buildings.

My husband absolutely loves his Pixel 7a. he has been a Pixel fan from the start. he has had the 3, 5 and 7. He just went to the 7a when his phone (7) fell in the hot tub for a couple hours. It honestly does everything the 7 does, but with a smaller camera notch on the back. he likes this because he finds it easier to stick in his pocket. he is really enjoying the ease of the the face unlock. he does prefer the Pixel 5 finger print reader on the back vs the onscreen one of the 7a. The guided frame for selfies has been fun to watch him try. he is not a selfie guy, but it does work well! assistant voice typing is top notch, works great and catches most of his words correctly. most of all he enjoys the adaptive battery. he doesn't always have access to a charger. so if he knows he will be in the field for long periods of time, he turns it on and his phone can last MUCH longer. and as always, any phone made by google has been a favorite of his. he is excited to get into it more and use all the features he never had before!

Google Pixel 7a Is Smarter Than Me

I bought the Pixel 7a to replace my aging LG K8 phone. This phone is amazing. This mid-range phone has many features that the high-end one offered. Two notable features are the call screen with transcript & audio, and the audio & transcript recorder. After activated the call screen, no robocalls and advertisers were able to get thru my phone. I'm not a good note taker when attending a meeting or a lecture. But now with the audio & transcript recorder, I see every words the instructors or lecturers said. Only one thing about this phone that I'm not fond of is its weight. It's a bit heavier than other phone brands of the same screen size, so much so that my wrist started to get tire, if I hold the phone in one hand for 10/15 minutes

    Pixel 7a Review

Best value phone I've ever had. I'm probably not talking from much experience since my last phone was a Samsung Galaxy A6, but switching to google felt comfortable since the android interface was pretty similar. The camera has great quality which allows me to just easily whip it out and take a picture. You can switch video to 4k, there are AI features for camouflage and magic eraser. I love the responsiveness of the screen once I switched it to 90hz from the default 60hz. It has overall been a big step up from my last phone and has made everything much easier to access after watching a couple videos to change the default settings.

Has the Google Tensor 2 SOC so that means flagship chip at a budget price for only $499. Great camera with night sight so the pictures look as if you were in daylight!

The phone has a good quality image on screen and a very long lasting battery. Some of the new features on pixel are very helpful for using the phone hands free

I purchased two pixel 7A's a few days ago for my fiance and I, we are coming from uohone 14's. I have had android in between using iphone but mu fiance has used an iPhone for over 5yrs now and she absolutely loves this phone and the camera is much better than the iphone and the operating system is really easy to use. If you are thinking about switching fron the iphone to the pixel i would definitely do it!
