Customers are saying

Customers regard the Pixel 9 Pro 128GB (Unlocked) highly for its exceptional camera quality and battery life. Many appreciate the phone's overall performance, processor speed, and ideal size, while some find the design sleek and modern and the ease of use a plus. The primary concern expressed is the default storage capacity, with some questioning why manufacturers continue to offer only 128GB as a standard option.

Do not trust Custmr Service/Greek Squad @ Best Buy

The phone itself is fine. Issue with customer service. Needed previous phone to transfer info to new phone. CSR said I would have to return, bring back when done and repurchase and he'd make sure I got the same price. WRONG. I didn't get my $100 Black Friday money off because the CSR returned it and couldn't replicate deal. Rip off!!! Extremely angry.

    Didn't honor trade-in estimate

This review is for the trade-in process only. They wouldn't honor the estimated trade-in value in online order even the phone is in flawless condition. Talking with customer service went nowhere. Will not do trade-in with East Brunswick store in the future. It's not worth it.

    Unaddressed Launch Issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The phone itself has lots of promise, but unfortunately the experience is hampered by unreliable performance and launch issues that remain unaddressed. Many apps deliver notifications long after they should - I'll receive Gmail notifications on every other device in my house, and then 30 minutes later on the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Bluetooth connectivity is particularly bad. Frequent disconnects, audio dropouts, and device pairing issues are significantly worse than the Pixel 7 series or my prior Samsung Z Fold 4. I will lose connectivity on my Garmin Venu 2 and Pixel Buds 2 by simply walking a few feet away, even with a clear line of sight to my phone. Many of the issues have been present from launch, with no meaningful fixes or acknowledgment from Google to date. Check out the Pixel subreddit - many other users are facing the same issues, and have even gone through the RMA process to get a new device has the same issues. On top of that, Google's core software and services (their main strength and the reason to go with Pixel over other choices) are growing increasingly unreliable and are very buggy. Google Tasks fails to remind me when I ask, the camera software is buggy and slow (often missing critical seconds for a perfect shot), and Gemini is light years behind ChatGPT in terms of usefulness and interoperability with other apps. It will often mishear what I say completely, which Google Assistant was handling perfectly fine years ago. I have been a die-hard fan of Google's phones since the Nexus 5, but they have unfortunately fallen far. Unless they make serious improvements, I cannot recommend this phone. Unfortunately, this will likely be my last Pixel.

    False advertising

Similar to other reviewers. Best buy advertised a $200 gift card and enhanced trade in credit on this phone, but made it impossible to order. Then once they open up orders, they remove the promotions, and now we've lost out on pre order promotions from any other vendor. False/deceptive advertising and business practice.

    Shame, shame BestBuy

Like others, I feel scammed. Before the phone was available to order, BestBuy offered a $200 gift card and $205 trade-in on my old phone. But they wouldn't accept pre-orders. Now that it's available, there is no $200 gift card and my trade-in is worth $75.

Overpriced by 2x. Bad build quality, underpowered.

This phone has a week screen, not excessive but it had jelly scrolling. The gpu and cpu are weaker and slower than my 3 year old iphone pro. But most importantly, the build quality is horrendous. One day something came lose on the cam and it rattles like its broken. 2 weeks old and not 1 drop, i barely even put it in my pocket.

    Best Buy practices stink

Same issue with Best Buy as the others. Too bad there is no review option for the store. Unfortunately I have to post the negative here, for the product. No $200 credit, no favorable trade-in promotion anymore, no option to pre-order because of the 'Notify Me' option only. I am certainly canceling my Plus membership with Best Buy.

How does the trade-in value change before and after phone release? False advertising with Tha $200 gift card and high trade in value made me miss other deals and not I am stuck without a deal. I wouldn't buy anything from best buy.

I think it's great they removed the 200 dollar gift card and lowered trade in values when this phone finally became available.
