Clumsy Android BUDS without silicon

So... decided to give these a try with the Pixel and while they stay in your ear better than an AirPod there are some other characteristics in comparison that don't add up to quality. With AirPods, you can ask SIRI to raise or lower the volume, AirPods will read out received texts or you can ask SIRI to respond to the person's text dictate your response and SIRI asks you to send. Sorry but saying "Ok Google" every time to activate the Google Assistant is very clumsy compared to "Hey SIRI". The BUDS do not pair automatically within seconds like my AirPods on an iPhone and BUDS series A don't have gesture controls but that also is a clumsy feature compared to AirPods that need no gestures at all even though you can use a gesture if you desire.

Decent connection, but sound quality is really subpar. need to turn them all the way up in order to hear anything. Connection works well with Google Pixel 3a, Google Assistant is seemless across all devices (google home mini, google home max, chromecast and cell).

Hi facho1234, thanks for sharing your feedback. We´re sorry to hear that the sound quality of your Pixel Buds A-Series didn't meet your expectations.
Here are some recommended steps to improve the sound quality for your A-Series: - We recommend checking your mobile phone´s settings: do not enable 'disable absolute volume', or disable 'media volume sync'. - Cleaning your earbuds snout and mesh area to ensure no ear wax or scabs is accumulated will also impact the sound quality. Check out this help page for more information on how to clean it: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/answer/9112670 - We also recommend trying out all 3 ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable tip for you, and ensure that you get the best comfort and seal. Having a good seal will also provide the best audio performance for your A-Series.

These things are incredible!! A really great sound from such tiny earbuds. The bass is really strong considering their size, and it's not all that muddy like a lot of earbuds tend to be. It hits the highs really quite well too.
The setup was simple. Pop them out of the package, and they immediately pop up on your phone (I have a Pixel phone) with a setup wizard. The wizard gives you a small tutorial during setup teaching you how to use them properly. The shortcuts for the google assistant are really nice and it makes searching for things even easier than before.
Similar to those other "pods", they allow you to have only one in your ear at a time and still use all the functionality. They offer noise cancelation, microphone pickups for calls, and really solid battery life.
A great feature is the ability to be selective about what sorts of notifications you allow to come through the headphones. Don't want calls or texts to interrupt? Turn them off. Or maybe you only want calls and texts, but you don't want app notifications.
The fit is really good! They easily secure in your ear, and come with 3 diff't sized ear pieces. They don't move around and are good for wearing while moving a lot or working out. And the best part is they don't hang outside your ear like those other "pods". They are one tiny unit that fits snugly right inside your earlobe with nothing that protrudes out.
I am very impressed by them and the quality and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for devices like this.

Does not stay in your ears; easily fall out. I would not recommend using them if you are in transit like on a plane. If you are sitting down and working then they are ideal for a meeting.

Hey there, VicMiamiBeach. We’re sorry the Pixel Buds A-Series haven’t the best fit. Here’s some tips to try and get the earbuds feeling snug:
1. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit: ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. 2. Use the Eartip Seal Check: It can help you check the quality of your eartip seal and get the best possible sound. On Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app then tap Eartip Seal Check. 3. Try memory foam eartips: If you’re not getting a perfect fit with our silicone eartips, memory foam eartips might be worth a try.
